My Memorial Box Godzilla 1975.

Love this look of Godzilla, plus he was my first G-Fest purchase!

The tail is nonmovable. It's supposed to be in a "swishing" motion, I'm guessing

Favorite Kaiju Toy?

Postby terrypierson » Sun Aug 19, 2012 8:02 pm

My favorite has to be SHMA Godzilla (inspired pick, I know  ). Quite simply he encompasses everything I could want in a Godzilla toy. As an amateur film maker, it's amazing to me that our toys are so superior to what a lot old actual movie props and models were.

And...

Revoltech Rodan. In addition to some of the same reasoning I had for the SHMA, this incarnation of Rodan is one of my all time favorite kaiju. It's a beautiful figure and I personally love the rubber wings.

I merged your topic, as I think it can fit well enough into this thread. I hope that's okay!

My favorite figure I currently own is the Bandai Keizer Ghidorah. (With guest stars Rodan and Gyaos in the background.)

I remember me some months really wanting to get this thing. It just looked so...awesome. I'm a big Keizer Ghidorah fan, and the figure looked really impressive. It also holds a special because right now since it's the most expensive figure I've bought, for $125. (I probably over-paid a bit, but it was worth it.) It also helps that it was my first 'big' figure. I remember opening it up for the first time, it looked so amazibg. My dad said that compared to him, the other Ghidorahs (meaning my Movie Monsters Ghidorah and Mecha KG) looked silly. The Bandai figure got the imposing appearance right. As I got more 8 inch figures, now my only gripe is that it should be bigger. It's in scale with the other 8 inch Final Wars figures I believe, yet the Chainsaw Gigan looks way too big when put together.

Can't really pick a favorite, but I love some of my older Bandai figures, like Baragon and Mechani-Kong. Gorosaurus is another, but I don't have one (yet). The Monsterarts are up there as well.

I took this pic of some Hawaiian Bullmarks using Mike's Toys and mine. I own the two on the left. The Godzilla is my favorite Godzilla Toy I own.

It's not a pic of mine, since mine's packaged away. But my Kaiyodo Godzilla 1989 is my jewel and I got it for only $30
