Their 1997 Varan is pretty yucky as well. Thankfully their 2003 attempt went much better. You can actually recognize it as Varan!

I feel like BC wasn't allowed to use the Bandai Japan sculpt as-is. So they chopped the original figure in half, glued it back together as half-assed as possible, melted it in the microwave for a few seconds and then threw it in a box, figuring it didn't matter because American Godzilla fans would buy anything anyway. What a joke.

This figure encourages me to want to make my own Godzilla Figures. Maybe we can start our own line of fan inspired Godzilla figures and call them Getto Fabulous Godzilla Creations! We can start be making a cheap standard header card, use a sandwich bag and the first figure can be a plastic rock from a dinosaur toy set, and we can call it "The other rock from Godzilla vs. King Kong."

You're both right! Bear Model Kamoebas does look like a piece of bread but it's much better than the Bullmark. At least it resembles Kamoebas. I'll buy one to put next the potato chip that looks like Abraham Lincoln and the rock that looks like Jesus.

Doesn't excuse the sculpt. Companies like Bandai have put out significantly better figures in a similar scale.

I've never come across a Bear Model figure that I liked enough to buy. Their Gigans are cute, at least, but compared to other lines? Meh.

Watch it, Cap. Legion was pointing out that Bare Model toys aren't as detailed because they're smaller. It's a valid point that didn't call for a personal attack.

I aware of the size, and I'm personally not holding the limitations of the format against them. I merely dislike the style of the sculpts, the choice of colors, the way those colors are applied, etc, on many of their releases. Again, that's not to say that that they've never done good work. Regardless of that, and small or not, ugly is still ugly.

I don't think Bare Model figures are terrific, but I do think the little Yog figures are pretty cute...

The beady little eyes are rather endearing, when you think of it that way. Gezora and Ganimes are downright adorable...but their brother? Not so much.

I do think Kamoebas looks better in that blue than in the "clammy flesh" hue.

I honestly don't mind Bare Model; they've had some good releases and have put out a lot of monsters that companies like Bandai don't dare to touch.
