Worst Kaiju Toy Ever?

My vote would have to go to the Trendmasters 6" Mecha-King Ghidorah toy. I got it as a kid because it looked cool, but soon found that it was absolutely useless as both a plaything and as a display piece. The middle head and wings were a separate piece of plastic from the rest of the body that was held on with a very small, flimsy tab that didn't serve its function in the slightest. The moment the toy was out of the box it fell into the two pieces and would never stay together on its own again. Shortly after that both wings fell off and the two missile-launchers on the sides of the body (which always looks like pathetic, comical little arms to me) became so loose on their joints that they couldn't stay in any position other that facing straight down. After that, the firing mechanisms in both stopped working, as did the one on the figure's back. Around the same time, all of the little chrome pieces that clip onto the figure's necks and legs lost all of their paint and lost their grip, meaning they wouldn't stay in place and fell off constantly. Also the tail refused to stay in its place and fell out continuously as well.

So now most of the time I have a toy that consists of King Ghidorah's torso, legs, and two of his heads, next to a pile of assorted pieces that, with some superglue and fury, might resemble a monster again. Trendmasters toys aren't exactly known for their high quality, but this one really takes the cake. I've never seen a toy fall apart so thoroughly from so little playtime.

Bullmark Kamoebas hands down. Most of the bullmark monsters at least somewhat resembled the monsters they were supposed to represent. This thing isn't fit to be a squeak toy for dogs.

Shogun warriors Godzilla comes in at a close second.

Hey now, the Shogun Godzilla is a pretty awesome piece of nostalgia for some people. It's ugly and inaccurate to the movies but its sheer size and the fact that it was the only Godzilla toy sold in America for a good chunk of time give it at least some value.

Hey now, the Shogun Godzilla is a pretty awesome piece of nostalgia for some people. It's ugly and inaccurate to the movies but its sheer size and the fact that it was the only Godzilla toy sold in America for a good chunk of time give it at least some value.

I think Bandai's greatest Ghidorah figure was 1998's 12" Grand King Ghidorah figure from the Rebirth of Mothra 3.
Bandai's GMK KG figure was great on detail, but I hated how straight the necks and tails were, the legs were stubby, and how it was hunched over.

Grand, Cretaceous, and GMK are good. The rest aren't as good. Keizer looks good, but I've heard the figure isn't as good in real life.

Keizer Ghidorah is a well detailed figure, but the one thing that sets it back is the god forsaken front legs. They're too darn tiny and disproportionate to the body. At times my Keizer Ghidorah figure falls forward because the legs can't hold up the rest of his weight. It's disappointing really.

Bandai's 6-inch Heisei Ghidorah is a decent figure as well. It needs improvement, but I certainly don't think it deserves to be called one of the worst kaiju toys EVER -- especially when I look at images of figures like this or this.

Totally disagree on the first count. True, it's a bad likeness, but it has a lot of redeeming charm IMO. I have the Iwakura mini Bullmark and like it. :]

The Trendmasters 10" Gigan is pretty embarrassing, although I do think the 5" version has a bit of charm to it.

Hey to each their own. Kamoebas is one of my favorite kaiju and I always found the bumpy toad they were trying to pass off as him aggravating. Probably because figures of him are so rare.

The BC GMK Ghidorah is horrendous. The sculpt is terrible, the pink gums are like lipstick, and I even have a hard time even seeing the resemblance with the actual GMK Ghidorah other than the teeth. The actual Bandai GMK Ghidorah is fantastic: its true to the character, has great sculpting for the scales and the heads, and it still gives Ghidorah a lit more bulk compared to 6 inches (if you use it with 6 inches to get a Showa feel minus the height). Other than that, I would probably say that the BC MG2 is not too great either.

^that's interesting. A lot of people seem to think the MG2 and Ghidorah from BC are some of their decent figures. I personally like my Ghidorah from them all right.
