I feel like a Showa Ghidorah '64 is essential. It raises the question though... Would fans lay down the scratch for another Ghidorah?

I personally don't think it would be worth it. Both Heisei and Showa Ghidorah have a near identical body, maybe if the Heisei heads can be popped off Tamashii would consider making different head sculpts that can be interchangeable with the current figure. That would be pretty easy to do and could be put in with a Showa Godzilla figure as accessories.

Yah, switch-out Showa heads would be right for KG. The rest of the beast is pretty much the same.

Classic Gamera & Gigan scored highly too, but I'm happy with my Revoltechs, so I would have to pass. Titanosaurus & Jet Jaguar would be 'must buys' for me. Showa MechaG & Kiryu are neck-in-neck in the poll - I figure one will get made next year, & one will be shelved( at least temporarily ). If Zilla gets made, it'll probably be on the small side, kinda like Little G.

Why in the WORLD would they do something like that?

Looks like the votes haven't budged the past few days.

If they want to keep Zilla to-scale with the other SHMA. Remember, Big G smashes buildings, Zilla climbs them & tears holes thru them.

In Godzilla Final Wars Zilla was around 80-90 meters tall. So he'd definitely warrant a full size figure.

BTW, the Tamashii site says 6/2/12 is LG's release date. Here we are though and no news. Wtf man?

RIGHT, because other toy companies make the Showa era figures half the size of Heisei era figures.

I dunno about Little Godzilla. I just want him shipped. I had to tear SpaceGodzilla out of his box, throw him on the shelf and go, so I wnt to actually enjoy opening something and enjoying it.

Good point on Zilla.

Maybe 6/2/12 is the ship date. Could be they're on the way to the US dealers now?

Quick question. I'd post it in the other thread, but it looks like it was locked. Is it fairly common to have loose joints where the legs attach to the body on the MonsterArts Mechagodzilla? I figure it probably is since the legs are made of heavy diecast metal, but I wanted to verify just in case.

The legs are most likely not loose. It's just that the metal in the legs weighs the thighs down in a semi irritating manner. You just have to fiddle with it a bit and you can get MG to hold pretty much any pose (even standing on one leg, lol).

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. It's not really too bad. My pose doesn't require that much crazy leg articulation anyhow.

Guys, a reminder: this is not a MonsterArts general thread. No cheating on your time-out.

Oh... It's a shutdown of all Monsterarts related talk.

Well in that case, anyone who wants to discuss the SHM line might want to check out other forums. Like this one for example: http://kaijucollector.b1.jcink.com/index.php?

There's less posters but the overall atmosphere is much nicer and there are people whp post SHM news there. Strangely a lot of the troublemakers from here are there as well... But they're usually on their best behavior.

On topic, the poll seems to be over. Hopefully we made some kind of impact on the line. As always, try not to have too much faith in the poll as it may not impact Tamashiis plans at all.

I’m new here obviously and I don’t mean to step out of line, but I don’t really understand the locking of that thread. If individuals were “acting up”, why not punish the individuals? I signed up here exclusively to discuss MonsterArts, and it looks like you’ve got a fine community here, so it seems silly to punish people that simply want to discuss the exact thing that the forum is for.

A number of individuals have consistently caused shitstorms in that thread while staying just within the rules. The lock wasn't my action, but we are working on a more permanent solution that hopefully involves re-opening that thread.

In the meantime, why not allow us this workaround? I don’t see any shitstorms in this thread.

Other mods have made it clear that we are not to have a replacement thread just yet. I'm not going to undermine that decision until we have discussed it.

So...is it really fair to tell, say, Antovald to not talk about SHMA because it would be breaking the "time-out" even though he had nothing to do with it and is not one of the people in "time-out"?

I understand why you guys lock threads from time to time, but lately they've been locked for a lot longer than they should be. How long has the Whine Thread been locked, even though it wasn't supposed to be permanent? And the MA thread has been locked for over a week now, so what gives? Of course conversation on the only real Godzilla product being currently released is going to bleed out to other topics eventually...I don't think that's anybody getting out of line or breaking any rules, that's just people trying to talk, which is what this forum is for.

It would probably be in everybody's best interest if individuals were punished and not the entire forum, but that's just my $.02.
I kind of imagine every TK flame-war actually sounding like this

I don't understand why anyone would ever think arguing about Monsterarts enough to get a thread locked and discussion about them banned from the forum for a certain amount of time is worth their effort, but I'm new here and never had a reason to post in that thread until I had the question about my Mechagodzilla's leg joints. Oh well. Thanks for the info RedZillaKing.
