At the next Bandai/Tamashii event, I predict SHMA Biollante & Adult Dessy will be announced. Among others.

Depends. So far, the turn outs for the surveys have been ~3 months for the announcement of what character won, and even longer for the prototype. Cell was announced the winner of the Figuarts poll in March, and we're expecting a prototype at SDCC, if we get one at all. And the recent D-Arts megaman poll hasn't even had an announced winner yet, and that was earlier this year.

I have a feeling that since it was closed off for new additions, Bluefin has all the info they need for the first SHMA poll. I am disappointed at the turnout of votes overall. I though more people would vote.. Guess not. :?

Oh well, at least the US is getting a Megazord release, apparently.

If anyone is dying to get the Garuda set and is willing to pay high buck then this could be your chance if your willing to take the risk.

Thanks, gents. Sounds like Amiami is the way to go for Ghidorah. Any thoughts as for Space Godzilla? Is the ~$75 + free shipping on Amazon the best I'm going to get?

Has Bluefin announced that they are definitely making figures based on the winners of these polls? I assumed they were just using them as a guide to get a feel for what people want. But they can so easily be manipulated (see SOTC), and who’s to say that all the voters are going to buy them, I would hope they wouldn’t use them as a set-in-stone guide for what they’re going to make.

I am hoping Manda is right about Adult Destroyah and Biollante – not only because they were the big vote getters, but because they’re in the Heisei series, and they’re big names, they seem like the logical next steps anyway. Perhaps they were working on them before the poll even started. Fingers crossed.

All polls are "to steer the direction of the line." However, Vegeta, Trunks, Cell, Gallantmon/Dukemon, Jiraiya, Knight Blazer, and I'm sure others have received either a release or a prototype because of a poll held by Tamashii Nations, and Vegeta, Trunks, and Cell, off the top of my head, were made because they placed first or second in a Facebook poll, and Vile was brought over to the US as a normal release, similar to Little Godzilla, because of a recent D-Arts facebook poll.

During the Figuarts poll where Cell won, someone rallied up their friends to vote for Krillin, and he won by quite a bit. However, Bluefin caught on to it and completely ignored Krillin. Rightfully, he did get the most votes, but it was considered ballot stuffing. A similar action occurred recently with SotC where a particular section of the internet got together and threw wild votes at SotC just so it would win.

Tamashii Nations, overall, isn't like other figure companies. They actually bother to listen to the fanbase, even those not in Japan, too. Hell, the DBZ Figuarts do better here than in Japan, apparently.

So far, SHMA has only mined the Heisei Era. Biollante & Adult Dessy are Heisei. Both kaiju scored high in the Bluefin/Tamashii poll. The logic is inescapable( as Spock would say ). I am NOT a gambling man, but I would BET that we see both in SHMA by the end of 2013. I would bet on Jet Jaguar showing up as well.

I would love to see Biollante but I personally think she'll be the last Heisei entry if we get her. I'm more curious as to how they're gonna handle the Larvae. I mean, sure you could cram Mothra's two forms together but what about Battra? That thing was friggin' massive! Still hoping for a Larva/Imago two pack for each.

I messed up that last post. Well anyway, I still think an Adult Destroyer would make a nice toy.

It sure would. It would likely make me shit so hard I'd get a boner.

So how about some Showa stuff? You seem to like vintage stuff (and you're from Planet X) so I assume you're a Showa fan. What's YOUR dream Showa SHM?

DREAM Showa Monsterarts ?
Damn, I would not know where to start. I'd say a '68 Godzilla or a '64 Ghidorah.

An interesting question, a dream MonsterArts Showa figure? I know the question isn't aimed at me but I just can't resist.

I would love a Godzilla 1975. With him could come some interchangeable hands (think karate chop hands and boxing hands) and a tail piece to recreate the Tail Slide. Of course they're should also be an Atomic Breathe accessory but the hands and tail would be much, much cooler!

To go with Godzilla, a Mechagodzilla. The pack should include a Fake Godzilla arm (Regular Godzilla '75 arm with Space Titanium Patch), an Eye Beam accessory, Black Hole Alien UFOs, a flying pose head piece (similar to Heisei Mechagodzilla's) and extra hand pieces.

A Web Exclusive to the two Showa figures could be Titanosaurus. With Titanosaurus comes two Mechagodzilla arms that say "MG2" on them, an interchangeable head piece for Mechagodzilla (the "Brian" computer thing), and maybe an extra tail piece for Titanosaurus unless his normal tail piece can open like in the film.

I may have been aiming the question at PlanetXman, but anyone could answer. You have some brilliant ideas in there... Particularly the fake Godzilla battle damaged arm. Oh, and the Titanosaurus. Though I feel like an alternate tail piece is the way to go.

I feel like a Showa Ghidorah '64 is essential. It raises the question though... Would fans lay down the scratch for another Ghidorah?

I personally don't think it would be worth it. Both Heisei and Showa Ghidorah have a near identical body, maybe if the Heisei heads can be popped off Tamashii would consider making different head sculpts that can be interchangeable with the current figure. That would be pretty easy to do and could be put in with a Showa Godzilla figure as accessories.

Yah, switch-out Showa heads would be right for KG. The rest of the beast is pretty much the same.

Classic Gamera & Gigan scored highly too, but I'm happy with my Revoltechs, so I would have to pass. Titanosaurus & Jet Jaguar would be 'must buys' for me. Showa MechaG & Kiryu are neck-in-neck in the poll - I figure one will get made next year, & one will be shelved( at least temporarily ). If Zilla gets made, it'll probably be on the small side, kinda like Little G.

Why in the WORLD would they do something like that?

Looks like the votes haven't budged the past few days.

If they want to keep Zilla to-scale with the other SHMA. Remember, Big G smashes buildings, Zilla climbs them & tears holes thru them.

In Godzilla Final Wars Zilla was around 80-90 meters tall. So he'd definitely warrant a full size figure.

BTW, the Tamashii site says 6/2/12 is LG's release date. Here we are though and no news. Wtf man?
