Here's the deal...

I love kaiju eiga and the amazing vinyls/figures/etc such films inspire. Collecting is one of my greatest joys. For a while, I've been posting random toy reviews on Skreeonk.com... but as a fandom friend of mine recently pointed out...

Everyone offers up reviews...

And he's right. Even I'm getting really stale on them. So I want to do something different.

Today, the idea for Vinyl Profiles hit me. What if, instead of reviews of individual figures, we created literal Vinyl Profiles for each Kaiju/Hero!? Imagine a profile page for Ultraman featuring images and factoids taken/written by us! The possibilities are endless! A Vinyl Profile for Titanosaurus... a picture of him from Terror of Mechagodzilla at the top, with his stats and a small write up about him as a kaiju - and the rest of the page containing facts and awesome pictures of the figures that depict him in an his glory... like everyone's favorites the Standard Bullmark M1 and 6" Bandai.

I don't know about you, but this sounds like a ton of fun to me. Anyone down to contribute knowledge/photos/awesomeness? This could be a ton of fun! And as always, every photo and/or article written by members will be fully credited to you. Because thats how we roll . Hell, we could start featuring certain kaiju one at a time, and everyone could donate photos of their figures of that kaiju - and some info/personal experiences in the form of an article to go with it.

Great! I'd love to have Ghidorah be one of the first we post! I would like to keep them separated by incarnation, though. That way, one page isn't cluttered with every Ghidorah ever - but just figures of Showa Ghidorah, or Heisei, etc.

Oh please that Gigan collection is garbage, I don't see the 10" Trendmasters Gigan anywhere, which ANY serious kaiju collector knows is basically the holy grail of Gigan figures.

Maybe we do need some structure, though?

I have a confession to make...I will whore out photos of my collection at the drop of a hat. If you think you can use them, I can toss you some pics of my personal "holy grails" right now. Maybe you post them right away, maybe you don't use them at all. I'm cool either way. If you'd prefer structure, I can deal with that too. Although...my 2-foot tall Baltan and 20" Gamera III figures are just begging for a little time in front of the camera.

Saw a 3' Godzilla on E-Bay. The girl in the picture was nearly the SAME size as G! I think the seller is asking $2000 for the figure, with free shipping from Japan.
