True. The last four issues had something going but it was way too late.

attilagodzilla wrote:But still it would be better i think like let's say now we have rodan anguirus battra and godzilla appear in three issues it would be in my opinion beter if they did let's say the first three issues center around godzilla's appearence and his attack on tokyo then the next 5 center around rodan and anguirus ending it of with a battle between the three. so you have a whole story but cinse it consists of different arcs you have more time to concentrate around monsters and character development wich KoM didn't really have.

Yeah, that's basically what I'm getting at. KOM and the upcoming Godzilla are both 12 issue arcs. But their normal miniseries are 5. So why not combine those two ideas.

Vol 1 - Godzilla
Vol 2 - Anguirus, Rodan
Vol 3 - Mothra, Ghidorah

And so on. They said in the begining they'd reveal the monsters in chronological order but that went to crap when they brought in Battra. They hinted at the Shobijin but that went nowhere.

Battra was a nice twist, I thought. But I also heard that from the (I'll quote) "story" they were trying to tell... Well if you guys got individual issues and read all of the Stomping Grounds fan letters, I distinctively remember the reason why the Shobijin were there, but the way things were going they didn't have the time to fully explain their story (why they were even there to begin with is beyond me... I guess it's a hint to Battra's origins. Let alone ALL of the monsters). I'll find it and quote it later.

^Yeah, I thought the inclusion of Battra and the demon twins was one of the cooler things the series did. I was disappointed it never really went anywhere. I want to see it revived in some form in the next series.

Well, Battra's still alive and well; so there might be something, right?

Yeah, I think it would be cool to see the evil twins again, or have them go against the Shobijin. Though the one thing I'm still waiting for is Gigan, when is he going to show up, so far we've only see a bit of him in a flashback beating up Anguirus, in Godzilla Legends #1.

Yes...I cannot wait for Gigan to make a full appearance. All he had was an incomplete cameo.

I'll join in the Gigan bandwagon since he is my favorite kaiju.

If I do recall, Chris Mowry had plans with his Legends issue with Gigan... I can't really remember too much. Something about his origins (before becoming a cyborg) and SpaceGodzilla being involved somehow. Either way, it was pretty neat. Hopefully the new arc will be able to bring in all of the other monsters that haven't been used-- Mothra, Gigan, Hedorah, Destoroyah, and Titanosaurus [and give SpaceGodzilla a huge role]. Given on how Kumonga actually has more panels, I have faith in the writer for this series in May. Gonna be one wild ride. :)

Probably not. But heck, something tells me this is going to be a more enjoyable read than KOM. Hopefully we'll have less flaws here... But from the way things sounded with the writer, he seems to know what he's doing.

That's Angy in thunderball mode, and his head's based on the FW version. I love the art style on the cover. Very dynamic yet detailed.

Finally! Story related covers! Man, I missed those after Powell left KOM (even though we only got Frank or Zornow covers most of the time, lol). This is good news here. :) Though I heard of some Harris fellow...

Not crazy about the art, but it is nice to see art that actually relates to the story now. I'm excited to give this a shot.

Yes, those were really cool ideas that reminded me of some of my speculations about Gigan's origins when I was a kid (and continually hoping that he'd show up in a Heisei film). I think that was Bobby Curnow, though, instead of Mowry?

I like the Anguirus cover, It may work for the comic... though at first I thought he had swallowed his own tail.
