^ This is great, but I give the nod for my "favorite" to the 10" CCP standing Hedorah.

It's now April 1st in Japan....and still no GB King Ghidorah   Wish it was an April fools joke, but it's reality. If I don't receive it by the end of the week, I will be emailing or calling Gigabrain to find out what the hold up is (this has happen with some Marmits I've ordered, so I'm not worried....just impatient as I really want this thing ASAP! :godzilla: :g2k:

Sorry, but the lighting in my apartment is strange (it's also night time and raining outside), and I just plain suck at photography in general, so I took several photos with and w/o flash.

The ol' "Pictures don't do it justice" cliche was invented specifically for this figure. Holy mother of Christ is this thing awesome! Just a fantastic, gorgeous figure  Can't stop staring at it. This figure represents everything I love about this hobby and why I waste money collecting these things. It captures showa King Ghidorah *PERFECTLY*. I am no longer looking for any more KG figures (Pilot Ace? Xplus? Marmit MH? Bandai SH??? Puhlease!)....this one is officially the king of mountain as far as I'm concerned, and has set the bar ridiculously high.

As you can tell from the photos, it's a *BEAST* of a figure too....very large. I have no idea how I am going to display this in my tiny Japanese apartment  It's similar to GB's massive Hedorah figure in terms of height, weight, and density. I will be posting some pics in the "What Toy did you just buy?" thread next to some random Marmit and Xplus figures to give everyone an idea of its scale.

The only minor quips I have....nothing really. I was a little surprised that the head joints are not articulated and cannot be posed (of course, the necks are fully articulated, as are the legs and tails)...but honestly, who cares? Also, the wings were a b*tch to get on (seems to be a pre-requisite for all KG figures)...but a hair dryer fixed that problem.

Thank you Gigabrain!

But once the MA version comes out you're going to sell this, right?

 You know, before GB announced this figure, the Pilot Ace gold KG was at the top of my *Most Wanted* list for the longest time...it's a great figure. But this GB figure just takes things to a whole other level.

By the way, if you missed out the first time around, a toy dealer in Tokyo who I often buy figures from says that GB will be releasing a black variant later this year...and he's very reliable.

....

Now I'm glad I gave it a second thought before pursuing a method to buy that figure. Maybe a variant will change my mind.

I love that the Gigabrains have this incredible film accurate detailing combined with a vintage toy style (plus their quite huge). I can see the hype around these. I'd love to own a couple of these.

Exactly! They manage to incorporate a very difficult mix of screen accuracy and vinyl charm, something that takes skill and craft to pull off. Can't wait 'til I get mine!

Somehow that actually looks way worth the 200+ dollar price tag. Not as stylized as the normal Marmit or Pilot Ace Ghidorahs, yet just chubby and uniquely colored enough to fit in with the others. Honestly, if I could divert the scratch I would get one to go with my Marmit Godzilla 1964. I feel like these thongs are gonna coattails a kidney on the after market.

Auto-correct? PFFFT

And yeah, they are. I'm keeping my eyes out for a lucky break, but... I'm going to start saving for the next release (God[zilla] willing) just in case.

God I hate my auto correct. It turns words like Sanda and Gaira into Sands and Fairs. Yet it cant throw an apostrophe into the word cant.

As for the next release... I actually find the orange variant to be attractive as well.

That's kinda how I feel. I like this figure, its great, but it doesn't suit my needs right now. I liked the color scheme much more in the older photos of it, but seeing it not all professional like kinda changes my mind a bit.

This one just doesn't strike that spot with me, ya know?

Now, if a black color scheme one comes out... ALLLLLLL of my money.
