I'm looking to create a site that panders directly to our fandom - a Kaiju marketplace full of the collectibles we love so very much - and all the buying and selling is done by other fans like us!

If anyone is interested in selling some of their personal figures, let me know - I'll be putting together an entire section of the site dedicated to the listing and selling of kaiju merchandise in the fandom. We get well over 500 views a day, and the site is growing fast. I'm constantly looking for new ways to expand the site, and what better way then helping out the fandom? But in the future, I will definitely keep this site in mind. It's also a great website for new releases (I believe Skreeonk was the first site to post photos of Gigabrain's showa King Ghidorah).

This is awesome. I'm always trying to sell some figures for extra cash, but since eBay charges for everything and takes a cut of the profit, I've been stuck to selling on YT, where I typically get 20 messages asking to buy something, only for them to NEVER FOLLOW UP.

Thank you, good sir! The general consensus is very positive for the marketplace - it seems to be working out very well, with no hassle. Its definitely beneficial for all of us involved for the buying and such to be done between kaiju fans, and the way the site is structured seems to be weeding out non-serious buyers.

One thing I might suggest is a way to count positive feedback for sellers on your site. Maybe if both the buyer and seller vouch for one another, the seller can get a +1 positive transactions by their information.

I dunno, just a thought that might help encourage people who are wary of buying/selling outside of eBay's safety nets.

I definitely agree as far as a safe atmosphere is concerned, but the way it works right now is on a "zero tolerance" party. If anything goes wrong, or an item isnt as described, etc... the seller/buyer is blacklisted from the site and no longer allowed to sell.

Right now, every single listing is done by myself, and each 'client' has to go through me to post. This process automatically weeds out any sketchy posters - it's not like Craigslist where anyone can just hop on the site and sign up and list... I have to personally sort through the pictures and info, conversing with the sellers several times before items are listed.

I'll definitely take your advice and work something up on site to help customers and sellers feel that they are selling in a safe environment - thanks for the feeback!
