Have you guys ever had any issues with displaying him? I only ask because mine has this bad habit of falling under its own weight. The right wing, which is one of its balance points bends under the weight causing the figure to fall forward. Mine was displayed over one of my cabinets in my room and it fell onto the floor. Fortunately there wasn't any damage to the figure, and only a few minor scratches in the paint on its back (the figure fell forward and flipped on its back before landing on the floor), nothing highly noticeable. This design flaw kind of makes me REGRET buying Rodan now, because it's hard for me to display him without knowing that it's going to keep falling on its own weight.
For those who have this issue, or had an issue like this, how can I fix this?
At this moment, I feel as if I flushed $240 down the toilet with this figure...
Perhaps when I return home to Guam, I'll display Rodan behind my two 25cm figures, Gigan and MechaGodzilla '74. Hopefully by doing that, if Rodan tips forward again, the two figures will catch it and prevent it from falling all the way. Still, I'm upset at this flaw...
I've got mine posed with the X-Plus Minya and Godzilla '68 from the same line, and they help 'support' him. Yes it is a pain to keep standing, but, so far its worked.
Use a putty on his feet. I bought some from Home Depot, it's used for knick-knacks and it doesn't harm the figures. It can be rolled off very easily. I used it for action figures though, not sure if it'll be strong enough to prevent an X-Plus from taking a dive. Still, it's worth a try. The stuff I bought was called Ticky Tack I believe and it was yellow. Failing that, try a hobby store and ask for museum putty.

Brad Simmons wrote:I feel the fins are too bright of a yellow. The body coloring looks fine. The yellow stripes across the eyes sort of bug me too, but I'll still be buying it. lol

I might buy something like a: Tokyo Tower, that temple (don't know name of it) Kong and Godzilla fight over, an Atragon, etc.
Brad your stealing my ideas! A month ago I went on about how they should include a significant item with each figure and offer them separately.
Gee wiz. Though I'm glad to hear that another is thinking the same thing.
Accessories would make their 25 and 30cm lines of figures one for the ages. No other line could compete.
Y-MSF is making the buildingthat G and Kong fought around.
BTW Hobbie Search just sent me an email that they shipped 89 G.
ZillaMaster91 wrote:^ The Toy's Dream Project Titanosaurus is neat, but I do agree, the X-Plus 30cm looks somewhat better. I'm getting used to the mustard-yellow coloring despite my earlier mixed feelings about it. I'll have to see it in person to give a definite judgement though.

ZillaMaster91 wrote:True, though I wasn't making any comparison between the two. I was just stating that the Toy's Dream Project figure is neat for what it is, an exclusive.
I think the thickness that you mentioned regarding the Bandai figure's face is partially due to the fact that the teeth are not individually sculpted and bits of vinyl fill the gaps, which give it that thickness.
