The 25cm MechaGodzilla highly reminds me of the Bandai 6" vinyl of MG '75, which I thought was a great figure. That's partially why I prefer it over the 30cm version.

Thanks Doc. Yeah, I've been scouring eBay for years...

Ok, so my original post was locked for some lame reason, so I guess I'll post this here.

Hey guys, this is my first post on the forums although I've been trolling for a while. I just have a few questions I hope someone can enlighten me about.
Of the two versions of Gorosaurus released by X-plus which commands a higher price? Is one version rarer than the other? And is there a general consensus on which version is better? I know the only difference is the paint job, but that could mean a lot. If someone has photos comparing the two that would be great.
Also, my other questions are in regards to the 30cm Wonder fest "night version" Gigan that was released. Does anyone have ANY information regarding this figure as I couldn't find anything about it myself. How rare is this version of Gigan and what does he usually go for? Does it look cooler than the green version?

Sorry for all the questions and thanks in advance.

It was locked because it was unnecessary and was supposed to go here in the first place.

The original X-Plus Gorosaurus goes for big money. I know that on Yahoo Japan it sold for over $600 easily.
The second issue is also rare at this point. I know one sold at G Fest VERY quickly last year. I do not know what it went for, but it was sold within an hour of the show opening.

With the pre-orders for Varan and Mogeura officially closed, I imagine it'll just be a matter of time before we see the next prototype unveiled announcing their next release. My gut is that it'll be a toss-up between Kumonga (leaning more towards this one) and Titanosaurus. We'll see...

I imagine we'll also see King Ghidora announced in August some time (if the release schedule matches that of Biollante's last year).

Lastly, I've been reading up on a few of the other toy threads and am wondering how it is we all get along so well in here. ;-)

I hope to GOD you have a big piece of wood you can knock on.

Ghidorah would be awesome... But something I'd mebbe like to see is a Keizer Ghidorah. It is bigger than Biollante, so I think it would be interesting.

Oh, by they way, that Goji '54 was posted in the group. The one that I joked about it being from China, do you have anymore info on it?

i'd highly doubt we'd see any kaiser ghidorahs...from anyone, any time soon. It was not a popular design and figure options are extremely limited. Even in the realm of garage kits, kaiser ghidorah is under-represented when compared against other characters like FW gigan.

Does anyone know how the DeAgostini 1954 Godzilla might differ from the regular version?

Has X-Plus announced Kumonga? I know they listed Titanosaurus in their future releases, but not the spider.

Hi Frank - We were going by a brief mention/blurb found in the Rodan write-up I believe. There was also a strong indication of a King Ghidorah on the horizon (unless by "space monster" they meant Mogeura, which would be disappointing).

I guess I missed that.
I'm in no hurry. There are so many figures I'd like to own if X-Plus was to make them that I support a staggered, slow release. If Titanosaurus is gonna be 30cm, I can see M2 coming in the near future as well, hopefully it's got the robot brain exposed and a removable head so it can be given to Godzilla to hold when on display.
Maybe Katsura will be the Internet exclusive. Poor Katsura, we still love you, even if you're a cyborg.. No don't kill yourself! KATSURA!!!

I'm saving up for Biollante. Hopefully it'll be in stock by the time I raise enough money. If not, then I can definitely live without it. However if an X-Plus King Ghidorah comes out between now and then... well, bye Biollante, hello King of Terror!

the x-plus biollante, imo, is the greatest figure of the character ever made. never was too big of a fan of marmit's offerings (even their "giant" biollante is only in 8" scale, and the mouth is way too exaggerated for my tastes in terms of proportion relative to the rest of the figure) and the bandai figure, while interesting, was too small and the face never really had that kind of menacing "glare" that biollante had.

that being said...44,000 yen at today's rate is a killer, esp. considering it was available for 35,000 yen last year when it came out.

I'd love to own that Biollante but I cannot afford it really. Not many can. Although I have spent more than $600 on a figure many times, it was for a Vintage toy. That Biollante is just such a superb sculpt, who wouldn't want one ?!
People wonder why dealers don't carry items like that at G Fest and it all comes down to cost. Think about it for a minute. It would cost someone about $600 to get it shipped here, so then how much can you make off of it ? 30% would be $780.
It is just not feasible for dealers to carry items like that.

^Understandable. Perhaps they could look into doing something like opening a room on the third day for public sell/swap? I know as a paying dealer, this wouldn't necessarily be so great for you on the surface, but if it were for a limited amount of time and on the final day, maybe it wouldn't cut into the dealers as much. I'm sure space is at a premium, but I'm also sure there's a lot of con-goers who wouldn't mind being able to easily conduct swaps and, say, single figure sales. Just a thought.

Titanosaurus is up for reservation on Hobby Search. http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10190927

I have mixed feelings about the sculpt though, but most likely I'll end up buying the figure.
