X Plus Majin !

Hmmm... still no word on size. Weird how Hobby Search has pictures before X-Plus has anything posted on their website. lol

Price suggests 25 cm maybe..

Well, although I like Daimajin, I'll be passing. Just too many G figs hitting all at once and buying two Kiryus hasn't helped. Hopefully, I'll be in a better position when/if they announce their first Gamera related release.

Per an email I received from X-Plus, it looks like Kiryu has been delayed again and will ship the end of July now.

I'm passing on Daimajin also and will take a serious look at the Gamera figures. Probably only interested in the earlier Gamera foes.

I just got my 30cm Rodan '64 from the mailroom where I work ten minutes ago!
I can't wait to open it when I get home this afternoon.... I could open it at work, but I'll be patient. XD

I only showed the box... unfortunately I didn't have the nerve to actually take the figure out at work. Hahahaha

Rodan's my first 30cm X-Plus figure that I actually received with the other three on preorder - Godzilla 1989, Varan, and Titanosaurus. I am looking forward to receiving the rest. I'm expecting my Godzilla 1989 to get here around July 18th if it releases and ships by the end of this week or early next week.

I kinda thought the same thing. Hopefully, the final product isn't going to be that rich in color. I was on the fence about getting this figure at a later date but if he's going to be colored like that, then I'm a no. That's ok though, they'll get my money elsewhere. lol

Funny :-D
Though it is early 1970's color television accurate. See how the color bleeds like it did on the early color television sets. Looks just like I remember watching it as a kid on TV.

That looks like the color scheme for one of the movie posters. God I hope that's NOT the case. I know they pulled that poster color thing with the Gulala figures a few years back.

I have no problem with the sculpt, but the colors... yikes.

It just doesn't blend well. If I were to get this figure - which I'm not - I'd rather have film accurate colors than a 'TV Screen' inspired color scheme. Essentially the bland green and brown colors is just a downright eyesore.

UPDATE -
The X-Plus 30cm Godzilla 1989 is now in stock, albeit sold out at Hobby Search. http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10184332

Just got my payment notice from Hobby Search earlier, so I can hopefully assume it'll be shipped today, or within the next few days.

Titanosaurus exclusive will be the submarine, Akatsuki.

Daimajin exclusive will be a chain he carries in his right hand.

I was charged around $244 for mine.
Shipping for these X-Plus figures is a big SKREEONK pain in the butt!
But hell, I love these things.

I'm just curious if X-Plus made accessories if people think they would sell well? For instance, buildings, planes, tanks, etc. in scale with the 25cm or 30cm line of figures. If so, what price point would you be willing to purchase them at.

I might buy something like a: Tokyo Tower, that temple (don't know name of it) Kong and Godzilla fight over, an Atragon, etc.
