I would actually get a 25cm Titanosaurus despite my vow of X Plus celibacy.

However, I'm still not getting them. Never been a fan of Manda, and I already have the 25cm MechaGodzilla.

I like Varan because he is the only kaiju that I don't have a figure of, and he's been a personal favorite of mine. That's why I really wanted him.

I'm tempted to get the Revoltech Atrogon with the Mmanda. Good prices.

I just placed my order for both. *sigh* Hope they come out with 30cm versions of all the 25cms I keep having to buy. :-(

I would jump at the chance to get those two as well, even though I'm not the biggest fan of Manda, but I have plenty of other items that I need to pay for when they come out this summer, so I gotta save up. Hopefully one day Rodan will be a bargain item and that's when I'll buy him....one can dream right?

Welcome to the discussion UltraMenace!

FYI - Just received word from X-Plus they are shipping Mothra Imago on 5/30. Also, more prototype pictures of Varan and Mogera up on their site.

My wallet tugged upon reading the upcoming shipment of Mothra. It's reading itself for the purge.

leunames, he are a few side-by-side picture of the 25cm and 30cm 64G figures.

^^

I nearly bought that 25 cm Goji64 and listed in as one of the figures in my "What should I buy next", but the stupid "stand" completely turned me off (this is the kind of nonsense that really keeps me from diving into this line regularly). Now, seeing it without the stand, I am even more convinced I made the right choice in bypassing it. Why the hell could they have not just released a 25 Mosu-Goji in a *regular* pose???!

Shameless plug for my X-Plus group on Facebook. Come join if you'd like! A lot of the same things discussed here as there but there's also a picture library of all the releases if you're looking for some nice reference pics to look at. ;-)

I own quite a few 1/6 figures and such, so I'm used to buying a display stand immediately, if one wasn't included. Even for the heavier figs that stand well on their own, if they're tall enough to tip over with a little shake or nudge, then I want some accident insurance. Granted, that's not such a big deal with vinyl. Still, I'd prefer an interesting pose that requires some extra support, to something more conventional (so long as the base isn't a lot wider than the shadow of the figure, thus taking too much real-estate).

Yeah I hate bases too. MG74 30cm, while needed it just throws off the entire shelf space. Now the Ultra figures, those needed stands (especially the 2 legged Seijin) from the very beginning. But X-PLUS had to start putting those in halfway in the production of the series. Oh well

I've been there before. Mechagodzilla most recently. Too bad we can't predict which ones will hit the bargain bin.
Surprised that the 67 and GMK aren't discounted. They've been out longer than the Manda and Mechagodzilla.

On a couple other notes..

Hobby Search just billed my PayPal for $246.60 USD, for the 25cm Mothra! Damn, that's like the cost of a 30cm - WTF!

Also, for those contemplating on whether or not to pick up Manda at the bargain price, he's now sold out.

I picked up Manda and Mechagodzilla at the discounted price this past Sunday. I'd been planning on getting them at full price for some time now, but something always kept coming up. It'd be great if the '54 went on sale as well.

I'm waiting to see if Rodan goes on sale. If it does, that's when I'll get it, but if not, I can live without it.

Hmmm... I think the Mothra Imagos began shipping yesterday but no word from X-Plus on my exclusive with the light-up eyes. I just sent them an email to inquire what's going on. I'm a bit concerned now... especially, since I'm using a new third party shipper so I'm already a little freaked out about things not going smoothly. Better get it worked out be Kiryu comes out. I don't want a $500+ item "lost" in the mail.
