Exactly. It's just common sense. AG is not gonna fork over the licensing fees for Shin. I'd bet money on it...

Well that is a less-than-impressive looking ornament for 2017...

But I guess they needed to find a way to bring the price down because there aren't many people wanting to drop close to $40 on a Christmas ornament. I was able to get most of mine by waiting for the day after Christmas when everything went 50% off. I don't think I will need to do that this year.

I would suspect that they will start appearing late September/early October. Meijer stores seem to put them out (endcaps in the greeting card section) around the same time as the Halloween stuff.

Yep, they just appeared at Meijer now too. Haven't bought it yet. While the $14.99 pricetag is easier to swallow, its a shame that nothing makes this ornament stand out. I don't know if the lower pricetag/lack of features will hurt or help the sales. They always seemed to sell well around here though.

I think that you may be right. If the 2017 ornament didn't do well, then maybe it is all over. Nothing we can do now but wait, I suppose. Oh well, if it's over, then that's too bad-but it was fun while it lasted.

The retail version of the Hallmark 2014 ornament is laughable. That thing is nowhere near the quality of the AG ones.
