This is Bandai Creation vinyl figures we're talking about, dude. Not Trendmasters. :P

While I am glad to see BC adding their own creations to this line, I have zero interest in getting those SD figures. I usually try to support any American licensed Godzilla product but these hold no appeal to me whatsoever.

What do you think of the translucent toys?

I fail to see what's so interesting about any of this stuff. The new figures at least. The 1968 Godzilla looks more and more terrible every time I see it.

Pointless. The monsters aren't see-thru in the movies, so I wouldn't really want see-thru figures. I would much rather see Bandai Creation make all new molds of monsters who haven't yet gotten figures.

Translucent figures with glitter in them (if you look close enough). Whats not to like?

Not like they're trying to impress the "hardcore godzilla collectors" anyway. =/

New Godzilla toys.

And more importantly, new Godzilla toys at an affordable price for new collectors.

Legion, you have a huge collection and can afford all the new, bigger, collector-oriented stuff on the market, so there's absolutely no reason for this to interest you. For those of us who have tiny collections who are lazy/poor/busy/afraid of eBay/whatever, or just take in all the Godzilla toys we can, this is pretty interesting.

I'm with everyone in that I would rather have new sculpts and new figure, but I've missed alot of these figures (espically MG) so I'm glad to have another chance to get them again.

Yeah, I don't really know why they're releasing figures that are transparent but I guess they're having money trouble. They did have a great mold for Anguirus 55 as well as a Mecha Ghidorah, I wonder if they'll ever release them.

If they HAVE to keep re-releasing these toys, why not really be creative with the translucent vinyl? These honestly look like nothing special at all. Godzilla and Mechagodzilla especially look bland as hell. I own a ton of translucent toys (many of them from Bandai Japan) and most of them have at least some imagination behind them. These are just...blah. I have no idea what this company is thinking.

Would anyone really give a shit if this new wave wasn't giving people another opportunity to get that Mechagodzilla?

I think its kinda funny how people complain about BC re-releasing old figures, and when they finally do something cool and interesting...

I'm happy the US market is getting any Godzilla figures at all. And I don't have any of these yet, so the chance to get them at low prices is appealing.
Now it's dark...

I like the look of that Gigan, and I'll surely grab one if the opportunity presents itself. Not sure I'd make a big effort to order it or anything, though.

I really like the Showa MG, I'm definitely gonna pick that one up now that it's reasonably priced.

Question: Is the paint/overall quality of these figures always a notch below Bandai Japan? Or are there exceptions? I'm just wondering if the US MG will look noticeably crappier when standing next to my Japanese figures or not...

Im agreeing with Legion here, but I dont hate on Bandai USA. None of these toys are new. I dont know why yall are gooing over the clear figures. The MechaG would be nice, just because the first run was scarce.

Youd think another kaiju wouldve made an appearance in the line by now ... like Baragon (Showa or Millenium), or Megalon, Titanosaurus or even another Mothra. Id love a Mothra Larva/Imago boxed set!

What cool and interesting about these? They're still the same old figures. And in the case of Godzilla and MG, the translucent vinyl doesn't really add anything to these toys.

Despite the fact that I own so many Mothras I've had to pick and choose which to display, I would be all over this if released. Great idea.

Yeah I own all the Mothra's save the Showa boxed one. I love thema all except the ROM Mothra's cheaped out. I still need a reissued ROM1 "Old" Imago Mothra boxed. But the BC Rainbow Mothra is a great figure. It looks more real then anything Bandai Japan has done. But a Mothra line would be nice... maybe a Showa Mothra set - Larva, Adult then 2 baby Larvas in an egg, then a ROM set and a Heisei set with Imago, Larva and Battra Imago and Larva.

Except for the, ya know, being translucent part.

I think they look fine. It'd be better to judge them once we have them in hand.

Not sure why you care so much. I dont except that you're really gonna buy them anyway.

But then, these things arent made for you. They're made for little kids to go "Oooooo" and "Aaaaaah" at.
