Dang, my childhood sucked because I stayed at home too much. I could of had a bunch of broken TM Godzilla toys in those boxes in the corner.

I use to get them at the Toys R us in Anderson SC, my town has always sucked when it comes to stuff like this, when I was a kid my pops would take me with him on business trips there and he always used to buy me some on our way back, god rest his soul

Yeah, they were definitely everywhere. I don't see how anyone who frequented department stores (that sold toys) back then couldn't have run into them.

I'll gladly eat crow if it doesn't turn out that way....but at this point it feels painfully obvious, as it has for months.

Recently, I got the Godzilla NYC missile set; nifty little set I thought. And I gotta say, it's tempting me to get more TM figures.

I just found this picture online while doing a project... has nothing to do with Godzilla, except for the shadows of a certain brand of toys on the top of the wall...

I just ordered a Super-charged Power-up Godzilla for about $30. I really like the sculpt they used for Godzilla.

Is there any Power-up MechaGodzillas available? I searched Ebay and have no luck.

^ Yah, there was no Target back then( 70s/80s ), but their 'predecessor' a California-based chain called Gold Circle was around back then. Their corp. symbol, a circular transposed 'G' & 'C', was the forerunner of the Target logo.

Gold Circle made the mistake of trying to compete with the fledgling Wal-Mart( & others )on THEIR terms, & do it even CHEAPER than them. The result was stores full of inferior product, so cheap that no one wanted to buy it. Target was formed in GC's wake, but with a more indirect challenge to Wal-Mart/CostCo/Phar-Mor etc., & the rest is history...

As for the Power-Up Mechagodzilla, the only one I saw was one with no tail.

That power up Godzilla has been on my wishlist as well. Seen him for decent prices on Ebay, but have held off in favor of Bandai Vinyls and SHMAs. Need to get back into Trendmasters.
I will explain slowly why you are wrong.

Sorry guys, if it means anything, I'll keep an eye out for another Power-up Godzilla. They usually pop up somewhere....

Here are some, they are more expensive, but it's something (one on Amazon went for $200):

Are you talking Doom Island Varan?? If so, I wish I knew that before, as I let one slip by 2 weeks ago and now it's gone to someone else. Sorry.
