Rhedosaurus. From "The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms". It was the direct inspiration for the appearance of the original Goji in '54. The historical significance is obvious, & it is such an old movie that getting the rights would be easy.

Its so under-rated. Sure its a crap film but it is the definitive American robot movie to me. I always wanted toys of them as a kid and I guess none were ever made. I can only imagine how cheap/easy the license would be for RJ.

Well since Tamashii is considering making other monsters from different series for this line anything is possible.

Yeah, its a stretch considering their not really monsters but ill do anything to give these guys a chance. However slim it may be.

Woah nelly.

Mine can't. I tried really hard, but he can't stand on his his one foot like in that pic; he rests on the toes on the other foot.

I'm figuring... Scalping prices + uneeded shipping costs = ~$85, I'm expecting and taking last year's exclusives into account.

I take this back. I fiddled with it a bit, and I got the EXACT same pose.

Bah, even if it is still the exact same sculpt, it still looks awesome.

Yes, actually, they do. Testors and Tamiya come to mind. However...

That's the MOLD. The plastic is translucent. You can't get that kind of effect without molding it properly.

I'd buy it if it weren't for those people on Ebay who charge close to $200 for it.
My Dad has been asking me to ask my sister to attend SDCC so she can pick one up for me, since she lives near San Diego, but I checked the SDCC site, and apparently tickets for the convention are all sold out. :freak:

I'm actually interested to see how well a godzilla exclusive will sell. I'm used to seeing transformers go in a blink but I bet it won't be to hard to get a decent priced one after or around SDCC.

The eBay prices, currently, are around double what I would expect them to be. I'm calling $100, at the most. SDCC Gohan is already up in price, but I guess its falling bit by bit.

That must be hurt, unless you really like this "melting" version of godzilla :)

I like "burning" version better (the one with normal color + burn patch), hopefully they'll make the burning one this year... and little fix the leg articulation (and better QC on eye painting). ;)

That's what'cha get fer not waitin'!

It does suck, though. The prices now will more than likely be slashed in half by the time SDCC comes around, and then more people will get them, and then there will be a *slight* flood of him, then the real fun will begin. There will be either a limited number left for around $150-$200, or it'll end up like Megaman X and have a LOT left over equal to or less than the amount they'll sell for after SDCC.

With Gohan, belonging to a popular property and his figure sells for >$99 getting a nice alternative, and Godzilla, something that a lot more people are getting into thanks to the SHMA line and the fact he can pull heart strings with those who grew up in the 90's, this should provide some interesting experiences over the next month or two.

I, personally, know of people that want to limit themselves to one figure from SDCC this year. Should be interesting...

It did hurt a bit after finding out, But on a brighter side of things at least the seller will make the effort of going all the way to comic con and getting one per say someone buying one THEN putting it up on ebay for that price. So £144 is a bit more justified considering the seller is actully going to try and get it.

Yes ... I know T_T. Normally I can and will wait but that caught me off guard... But lessions learnt, NEVER get a pre-order before said item is annouced.

I don't know about 'limiting' myself, when it comes to SDCC stuff, but the only thing I DO want from there is that Meltdown Godzilla! Considering that the SRP is $55, I am confident that I can get one for around $100.
