It reminds me of the Uchusen artwork, though the fins are more traditional.
Now it's dark...

Reminds me of GMK Godzilla personally, but I'm not expecting that to be the final choice. I think it's just an inaccurately drawn Burning Goji.

I think so too. Not that it's bad by any stretch.

It doesn't seem too thick enough for GMK, though I wouldn't complain.

I would laugh my ass off if it turned out to be Final Wars Godzilla.

I'd be a great way to mess with fans.

Eh, I didn't mind the design. Plus, for a super articulated figure, it wouldn't be that bad of a choice. (Better than picking 1993, of all suits.)

I think it's Burning, you can see the Burning marks a bit on the chest. (Or maybe not, but it looks a bit like that. Notice how they aren't showing the chest or thighs where the Burning marks would be.)

Its Gigantis!

Nah, its pretty obviously just Burning/Meltdown Goji. Not Melting Goji, FW Goji or the like.

It's Legendary Pictures finally revealing their new G-design in form of a S.H.MonsterArts exclusive figure. Nothing else will it be.

PS: regarding the "figure" debate: actually any kind of model made of a real thing or character is a figure of it. So even the tanks and jets from the first effects pack must be considered being figures. However, they might personally not "feel" like a full 100% release, but as add-ons instead. That just said. No more hate please.

That would be a nice marketing trick.

Or maybe the Convention Center is the "figure"... :freak:

It's surely Burning Godzilla, why they are teasing the whole thing for friday when we already know it is beyond me.
Maybe they will give out free posters with that artwork at the SDCC.

Could possibly be a new Godzilla for the 2012 movie, but that's a little extreme in terms of all of the possibilities. It could be shown now to start getting fans to hype about the new movie, but it is probably too soon for that. Realisticily, this figure could be GFW judging by the design of the art a little bit.

Personally, I don't think there's ANY possibility of something like that.

Realistically, this figure is probably the Burning Godzilla that we already KNOW is going to be a SDCC exclusive and the art we keep seeing just happens to be heavily stylized.

Never said I knew for sure. But on the other hand I definitely think the very idea that the SDCC MonsterArts figure would be a Godzilla design that we've never seen, from a movie that we know nothing about, that might not be out for another two years or so, is absolutely ludicrous.
