I'm sorry I shouldve been more specific

the part where you said "Bandai stated that this is a new standard figure line"

Tamashii Summer Festival is in July. I imagine we'll be getting some more monster announcements at that point. At any rate Bandai stated that this is a new standard figure line and I'm holding them to it. There's more evidence that they plan on keeping on releasing stuff thsn there is that they'll stop dead. Granted the Goji stuff might be getting a break.

When did Bandai say that? If thats the case then Im thrilled! Wonder why they will go with this instead of the standard vinyl figures unless Bandai America will be doing those from now on?

I feel as if this conversation took place before earlier on in this thread...

Paraphrasing from what other's said earlier on in this thread - I don't think Bandai is giving up on vinyls just yet. With no new Godzilla movies coming out any time soon, there's no reason to produce vinyls. I don't recall Bandai ever saying that the MonsterArts line WILL replace the vinyl figures either. The MonsterArts line is mainly for collectors rather than for children. Once a new Godzilla movie comes out (or even the Legendary/WB film), then Bandai will surely produce more vinyls. Especially for the much younger fans.

They stated that the SHM line was a new standard in monster action or something. It's all over the web if you want to google it.

Heres a fun idea for Bandai America

Make super articulated Godzilla figures like their Power Rangers toy line to sell in stores like Trendmasters used to
bascially like the MonsterArts but cheaper and maybe not as detailed

I just wanted to clarify that though Tamashii Nations is a Bandai branch, the collector's division, its actions along with other Bandai branches are completely independent of each other. The Monster Arts releases do not affect the vinyls that are produced by another Bandai branch.

Thanks for the clarifying!

How have the entire MonsterArts Godzilla toy line sold so far? I would think pretty well?

In the MA scale, one inch is ~16.667 meters.

These tanks are 16 meters long.

Their figures in the goji effects pack are barely over half an inch.

I mad right now.

They've showed us an aggregate Dessy already? Only one I recall seeing is the one there was multiples of in the movie & were trashing people's cars, & then merged together into the big, winged sucker!

That's the Juvenile stage. Aggregate is significantly bigger and has the whip arms. Formed from all the juveniles when the army brought in the freezer weapons. Also the one that leaped from the building and pinned Godzilla Junior.
Or maybe I misunderstood your post. I dunno.

Yup. Right before you joined. Just google search Monster Arts Ghidorah and look for the display at Tamashii Nations 2011.

Posted this baby on page 35:

It's worth reading through some of the posts back then. This line is done after Spacegodzilla. I can't see this line lasting beyond 6 or 7 figures... That sort of thing.

1. Godzilla 2. Mechagodzilla 3. Garuda 4. Spacegodzilla 5. Moguera 6. Little Godzilla 7. Fire Rodan

Guess we're done folks.

If you count Garuda as a figure... lol

Little Godzilla is super tiny, too. We're at like 5.5, really.

Just because they're in scale doesn't mean they're not figures silly. Also the SDCC exclusive will need to be cancelled. And Ghidorah. They had better melt down the Utsuno Ikusagami and Destoroyah too... Just to be safe.

What's with the CONSTANT attitude? It's like...you NEED to stick it to anyone who doesn't LOVE this line as much as you do. It's gotten really unpleasant.

My opinion? People counting accessory packs as actual figures are doing so out of desperation to make this line look larger than it is. Garuda is an add-on, not another figure entirely. Is the Super X II from the Godzilla effects pack another figure too?

Who am I sticking it to exactly? And don't be a fool. Garuda is a legitimate figure on it's own. It has its own accessories and is many times larger than your exaggerated example.

Garuda IS an accessory. Watch the movie again if you dont believe me.

They just managed to fool/scam a bunch of consumers out of an extra $60 because they could.

Uh huh.

It's part of a weapons pack. It's not a figure the way Godzilla, Mechagodzilla and Space Godzilla are figures. It's ship that most people are just going to stick to Mechagodzilla's back and is something that SHOULD have been packaged with that toy in the first place.

False. Garuda is a figure. Mechagodzilla is a figure. Together they make Super Mechagodzilla. Garuda fought Rodan on its lonesome. It's packaged separately. Sure it comes with an accessory for Mechagodzilla... But I suppose that means Fire Rodan is just an accessory too.

Fact: the Garuda warship is a mech that can fight on its own. The figure comes with its own stand. To be displayed separately. It is its own figure.

Fact: wasn't giving Jomei (who I actually like) anything more than a good natured retort. Stop attempting to instigate.

@G2K- cute, but I wasn't scammed into anything.

IDGAF who poops on this line, I like what I like and enjoy it.

I do agree with Garuda being a figure. I had it displayed on its own for a while, but too little of my dresser was showing, so on the back of MG he went.

However, I caught my Revoltech Anguirus doing a shelf dive today, and I really came to the realization I have too much crammed on my dresser, so I boxed up my Bandais and Y-MSF's and the Garuda is standing (flying? hovering?) by itself now.
