I wanted to share a link to a youtube video I found which has Monsterarts and Revoltech figures being played with by a hot chick not something you see everyday.

Then why don't ya?

Yeah, I bought the Godzilla effects pack, and I really like it. Not worth the initial $50-some, but its pretty cool. I don't regret buying it.

Plus I have a use for it, so double-plus good.

It's alright to wash these things in water, right?

Mechagodzilla will smack the shit out of you if you do.

I'm just guessing here.

At least MG has metal parts (also in his joints), which would probably start to rust. I'd never put water on them. Just keep dusting them time by time, so they don't ever get covered too thick with dust.

I wished I snagged one on Ebay for $60 aat the last moment when I saw it, instead of waiting. I feel that it's such a shame I didn't, as whenever I look at my MonsterArts Mechagodzilla, it just seems so incomplete.

Also... I've been meaning to ask this, but on my MonsterArts Godzilla, on the leg, the hinge on the knee where it connects to the upper leg seems to have popped out of place somehow, which I have no idea how it happened, as I've been highly careful with the figure. If I had a camera I could use, I would take a picture of it. It doesn't seem to be a major problem, but it is an eyesore.

I wasn't going to display him as Super Mechagodzilla... but it looks really nice.

My Space Godzilla won't be in after April 24th, so I took some pics of my recently aquired Garuda effects set to hold me over, and wanted to share here.

Hope it's okay to post these. I can only post the links from my Photobucket account instead of the images directly. Guess my account is too new to allow images yet.

The kit comes in a silver foil box that has the Garuda logo on the front and the Mechagodzilla logo on the back.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v436/ ... C04232.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v436/ ... C04233.jpg

The Garuda is listed as UX-01-92 which is a nice nod to the movie that introduced it. This follows the prologue in the movie the Garuda was developed first by the UNGCC to tackle Godzilla, before developing Mechagodzilla, which is listed as UX-02-93.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v436/ ... C04234.jpg

The set comes with the main vehicle, stand, maser cannon effects, shock anchors cables, and adapters for the combination mode.

Garuda as a stand alone vehicle is pretty nice on its own. Details are pretty accurate with clean paint apps, even down to the G-Force logos.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v436/ ... C04246.jpg

Some nice little features are the moveable rocket engines on the back of Garuda. Each rocket can be moved individually and rotate to certain angles depending on how you display it.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v436/ ... C04247.jpg

You can also remove the the tips of the maser cannons, and replace them with the added effects.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v436/ ... C04245.jpg

When upgrading to SuperMechagodzilla, this is where this set really starts to shine!

To upgrade, several pieces need to be removed from the underside.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v436/ ... C04249.jpg

The parts in the lower part of the picture are removed from Garuda, and the two smaller pieces above replace them. The modified pieces are molded differently to allow a better fit for the combination.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v436/ ... C04251.jpg

Mechagodzilla also gets a new back piece adapter.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v436/ ... C04252.jpg

Once the parts are in place, Garuda plugs right in the back of Mechgodzilla.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v436/ ... C04253.jpg

The cockpit of Garuda slides back just like it did in the movie, and the maser turrets move up and down.

Behold, SUPER MECHAGODZILLA!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v436/ ... C04238.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v436/ ... C04240.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v436/ ... C04241.jpg

The shock anchors plug right into the sockets of Mechgodzilla's arms. Time to reenact the G-Crusher scene from the movie! :D

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v436/ ... C04242.jpg

Beam Wars!

Overall, it's a neat set to compliment your SHMA Mechagodzilla, or if you just prefer your Garuda by itself, it still displays nicely on its own as another weapon to fend off your Godzilla.

Thanks for letting me share! :)

So it seems Tamashii acknowledge King Ghidorah's iconic status as a foe in the Godzillaverse. Nice one Bandai 8-)

The only complaints I can make about the Garuda pack are that the shock anchor cable doesn't stay in the right arm on mine, and the thrusters on the back seem to be stuck at the moment. It'll probably loosen up after playing with it.
Yes I did play with this thing when it arrived.
