Is this one of those figures where one needs to get it right away, or else it'll sky-rocket if you wait a month or two?

I'd wait it out. The few sellers who have Rodan up on eBay already are just trying to capitalize on the ignorance of most people scouring the auctions. The figure should cost no more than $45 when adjusted to USD. I'm sure that reputable sites like HLJ will have decently priced pre-orders up when the time comes.

No, don't buy these on eBay unless they're low priced. Rodan's MSRP is $42.99.

In regard to the other part of your question... hasn't the SH Godzilla already gone down in price? Hopefully the others will do the same if they are produced in the same mass numbers...

Yeah, SH G has gotten down from its original price, the cheapest right now would be $55.

Garuda pack was on ebay for about 7.00 cheaper than BigBad so I cancelled my order there and snagged it. At least Little Godzilla and Rodan are cheaper there. BigBad has a tendency to gouge when it comes to web exclusives.

I might consider doing that, but BBTS did me a favor by adding me back onto the preorders after they'd technically sold out, and aside from that they're a sponsor of my site, so tempting as that is I'll stick with them. I agree their prices can be high on certain products, though. But if you can be patient, their "pile of loot" option can save you a lot of money on shipping.

I just wish Sideshow would get their stock of Space Godzilla in...

EDIT: *sigh* I really hate my mailmen sometimes. Even though I've signed a release allowing them to leave registered mail at my door without obtaining my signature, they still won't. Not only that, but they've quit even knocking or ringing the bell to get my signature; they just put the "Sorry We Missed You" slip in my box. So I won't be able to pick it up from the post office until tomorrow morning...

Because Clawmark tends to overprice things, hence why I never buy from them. The prices are ridiclous.
