Kaiyodo now posts, at their Sci-Fi Revoltech site, 'No. 1 Monster & Hero Action Figure'. Who are they kidding? The 'Monster' part hasn't been true since January!

And before anyone says 'Monster Hunter', that's part of the Yamaguchi line, not the Sci-Fi line.

Yeah. And ALL old news. January's "Gohtengo" is newer. Iron Man, TransFormers, Spider-Man, Starship Troopers gunsuits, is it since Jan.

The next entry in the Sci-Fi Revoltech series has been announced, over at their home site.

Once again, there is no joy in kaiju-ville. :P :P :P

No. 040, BTW, is Dark Of The Moon Optimus Prime with wing-pack & weapons. Wow, that's a stretch.

And I continue to lose interest. Maybe they should change the name to Let's Ride Hasbro's Coattails Revoltech?

Hasbro has no say over Revoltech. It's Takara.

And frankly, I'd buy Optimus over any kaiju anyday,

I never took you for the Transformers-fan type.

Are you a TF-fan?

In a way, yes. I Looooove the Dino Bots, Starscream, and Megatron. I'll watch almost anything with these characters in it. Except the films.

Strangely the toys never appealed to me, save the masterpiece line.

*AHEM* Back to the thread topic..................

Got my Red & Blue Ratholos yesterday. Awesome, awesome monsters. Wonder why they're putting Monster Hunter in the Yamaguchi line-up & not the Sci-Fi line? Tho' the answer may be on the Ratholos' box flap: It mentions Yamaguchi, Pixar, MUV-LUV, Queen's Blade, Assemble Borg, & somethingJapanese Revolution. But no mention of the Sci-Fi line. IS Sci-Fi going the way of the Dodo?

No, it isn't. I think it might be in the process of rebranding, since Amiami calls it Tokuatsu Revoltech.

Also, recall that the Sci-Fi boxes don't list all of the other lines like the Yamaguchi box does.

Also also, Sci-Fi deals with movies. Monster Hunter doesn't have a movie... Yet.

The Ratholos is better than anything that's come out of the Sci-Fi line since Dec. 2011.

To quote their website & brochures, 'Let's Collect All Revoltech!' Yeah, sure. When you start making stuff I want to buy again! Tho' to be fair, Monster Hunter is a step in the right direction( not for Sci-Fi ).

I do love the way Rathalos's wings are attached; it looks very natural and allows for a great deal of posing.

I'm loving this figure! But I've always been a sucker for well-crafted dragons. I've always regretted not buying more of McFarlanes' Dragons, when they were on the shelves. I have several of the Land of Legend dragons by Hap Henriksen, but they're a bit pricey, & VERY fragile. Ever since I first saw the pics of Revoltech's Ratholos, I wanted it. Now I have it, & the Blue one too. They do not disappoint!

Not interested enough in the next Revoltech Monster Hunter figs to buy 'em. A knight in shining dragon armor doesn't quite do it for me. WOULD be interested in more Monster Hunter beasties tho'. As I've always said, I'm in it for the kaiju. ;)

I think a Rathian is quite likely, which is especially cool since I actually slightly prefer the look of the Rathian to that of the Rathalos (though only slighty).

Lagiacrus and Jinouga are also 'flagship' monsters, and thus also seem likely.
