Ouch! I sure am glad I bought Baragon back when he first came out! About $28, before SAL, from HLJ.

Well, I got Baragon for $20, and since I got him straight from the shops, without shipping. 8-)

Every now and then Baragon goes on sale for about $18 at HLJ. I might have to pick him up next time it happens.

As he is listed as 'back-ordered' now, I wouldn't bet on that.

Yeah, he's great. My favorite Revoltech at the moment. My favorite Revoltech scult-wise woul be Legion- but the problem with her is she's kinda...inconvenient anf flimsy. If you own her you will know what I mean. And I got her at a pretty hefty price too ( quite abit more than my MA Goji even).

I may consider buying the Revoltech Baragon if I cant get SH MonsterArts Godzilla. Can anyone tell me the pros and cons of the revoltech toys?

Pros: Super detailed, highly articulated, fun to play with, not as expensive as other certain figures

Cons: Somewhat fragile (depends on the figure), and if you're into scaling then be prepared to be disappointed that none of the kaiju figures in this line are accurately scaled with one another.

Personally, I love the Revoltech figures and the whole scaling thing really does not bother me at all. I don't have Baragon (I want it though), but I have Anguirus and Mothra at the moment with Rodan and Gigan still coming in the mail (hopefully I get them tomorrow!).

So far I've been happy with them, and they make GREAT display pieces for my ever growing collection. I display them adjascent to the shelf I cleared for just my Monsterarts. Revoltech's Showa kaiju on one shelf, and the SHMonsterArts Heisei kaiju on the other.

Pros

Highly detailed, generally excellent sculpts
Very high quality paintjobs
Easily the most articulate kaiju figures out there
Cheaper than Monsterarts and Ultra Act (the kaiju anyway)
Best packaging of any of the kaiju toy lines IMO
Quite a lot of accesories for most, some really impessive (the Gameras and Mothra)

Cons

Ball joints hurt bulk and fluidity of sculpt (varies, some it affects quite alot, like Gigan, some only a little, like Baragon, some almost unnoticeable, like Legion)
Smaller than MAs and UAs (but some are not that much smaller, like Gigan or Legion)
Somewhat fragile (calling bullshit on fragility of the sculpt intself, but the joints are prone to damage)
Some have nearly no accesories (Anguirus and Gigan)
RIP, Old TK.

So it seems like this line is done, which bums me out. Especially because I just pictured a Revoltech Showa Mechagodzilla. Here's hoping S.H.Monsterarts gets to him eventually.

Plenty of diecast, highly articulated Showa MGs already exits. I've had this bad boy for a while, and he's still one of the best Showa MG figures around:

And here's a good shot of mine in action in a fan film I made several years ago:

There are a few on ebay for decent prices: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Bandai-Chogokin ... 2eb7aa4c0f

And yes, just over $63.00 shipped is a good price. If you like to bid, this one's pretty low right now:

It really is a great figure. It's over 7 inches tall, too!

Chogokin has released several versions of GFW Gigan, Showa MG, Kiryu, and others. They're all over ebay, have been for as long as I can remember. A couple of their products are listed on my Marketplace right now:

http://kaijufanmarketplace.wordpress.com/2012/02/09/soul-of-chogokin-diecast-mechagodzilla-kiryu-2003-final-wars-gigan/

As far as the Showa MGs go, their MG2 is much more common than their MG1, and I'm pretty sure RedZillaKing just posted links to a couple on eBay above.

Very true, good sir. I'm surprised they still havent sold.

All this talk of Showa MG makes me crave a Revoltech Titanosaurus or King Caesar.

I bought my Diecast MechaGodzilla 1975 from a toy store in the Philippines. I love it to death!
I also have the Toy's Dream Project Godzilla '75 and Titanosaurus that go with it.

But back on topic, I would LOVE a Revoltech Titanosaurus, but unfortunately we'll never see that day come. Sad face!

I found it at a Toy World at SM (I forgot which one though).
There were two left in stock... at the time at least.

Revoltech Titanosaurus and King Caesar would have been super rad. Titano's tail flap would probably open and close, and you know KC's ears would be articulated. I hope they can work something out with Toho/Bandai... maybe they can keep doing "B-list" Toho Showa monsters? They sort of seemed to specialize in that anyway.
