Anguirus looks fantastic. Wouldn't mind putting it up against a Revoltech Baragon in a fight.

Revoltech Gigan, you say?

Do want.

Less than 6 inches tall, you say? Will probably cost around $30?

Do not want.

No offense, but I fall off my chair laughing when people complain about the price of these things. For the type of materials being used, the paint jobs, the wicked articulation, the terrific packaging and the accessories, not to mention with the exchange being the way it is, $30 is an absolute steal for a licensed Japanese Godzilla toy like this. Sure it's no $10, hollow vinyl, Bandai toy with limited articulated aimed at little kids, but that's not really a fair comparison anyway. These things aren't expensive. $100+ Marmit and M-1 figures are expensive. $200+ X-Plus toys are expensive. Toys like the Revoltech series selling for $30 are not expensive in the grand scheme of things.

Speaking the truth good sir. This line of revoltechs really is something. The sculpting, paint job, articulation, it's all great. Sure, I would like them to be just a tad bigger, but it's not that distracting by any means. Ever since I got the revoltech Baragon, I've still blown away by how great of a figure it is. Hell, I preordered revoltech's new Rodan, and I can't wait to receive it! Where else can you find such detailed figures of showa Baragon and Rodan? Sure they exist, but as Legion said, they're usually in the form of garage kits which at the very least start around $100. What revoltech has going here is pretty superb, lets at least count ourselves lucky that some company is still making affordable detailed figures of these guys.

The price wouldnt bother me if these things werent so small. For a little more I could just get the much better Ultra-Act figs.

I'm one of the very few people out there who strongly dislikes over-articulated figures with joints in every possible place. They make these figures look very odd with extended body parts/limbs (the same goes for action figures...I find the 90's action figures of like X-Men far superior with only their moveable heads/shoulders/arms/waists and knees to what they are now where their torsos have to be extended to hold all the joints in just their nipples alone....no thanks).
Within Temptation, Flaw, The Panic Division, Tool, Lacuna Coil, Breaking Benjamin, Red, Lunatica, Katatonia, A Perfect Circle, Evanescence, Bush, Silverchair ('94-'01), Goo Goo Dolls, Linkin Park, Metallica, Delain, Leaves' Eyes, etc.

I think these new Revoltech figures are the best thing since sliced bread! I'm a huge Godzilla collector and have been amazed on the amount of detail they put into these figures. I for one absolutely love the A1 likenesses, sizes & articulations. I used collect the mini gashapon sets but these Revoltech figures blow them away! And for $30 a piece, I'll buy as many as they produce. On another note, did anyone see they have the skeletons from Jason & the Argonuats. Totaly awesome! I pre-ordered 3 along with Rodan & Anguirus. Can't wait for Gigan to go into production.

Holy crap the Revoltech Gigan figure looks amazing. I need to buy the Revoltech Toho Monster figures soon since I'm a fan of their Evangelion toy line.

I probably sound like a broken record to you saying this again, but if you like the Revoltech Eva Units, check out the Robot Damashii line. For a similar price, I find them to be vastly superior. The only downside, they have less accessories, but the Eva itself is like a perfect scaled down version of what you see on the screen.

I'm evil and cheap so I'm not paying $40 for one of these. They look cool, though.

Whether he has or not, it's a valid complaint. The Angilas prototype has very long arms and legs because of the ball joints. It's an awesome figure but it's not quite right proportionately.

Its those little extensions that make the articulation, well...articulated.

I mean, if they nailed the design to a T from the Showa suit, AND opted to hide the joints as much as possible, the movement of the limbs would be limited by the design of the creature itself, so certain liberties need to be taken to ensure the figure is as posable as need be.

Afterall, if Toho's special effects crew taught us anything, its that design is all well and good, but execution is vital. Just ask those who worked on the original suit. lol.

when I first saw the pictures of Baragon and the other ones that came out around that time, I thought the joints looked really ugly too. I actually didn't even want to get Baragon - I mean, I wanted him, but I wasn't sure about paying ~$40 for something I wasn't sure I'd like. my boyfriend ended up surprising me with it, and now I want all the Toho Revoltechs, lol. I don't know why, but I think they look a lot better in real life than they do in the photos. I guess the joints just aren't as noticable when you're actually holding the figure. I mean, they're there, but you just sort of stop thinking about them so much. honestly I think a little bit of rather unobtrusive joint visibility is a good tradeoff for how posable the figures are. I can't wait to get more of them so I can set them up in all kinds of cool poses together.

although I hate that Rodan and Anguirus are coming out at the same time... I passed up Mothra because I couldn't justify spending the money (she's not really my favorite monster), but I really want these two :p

If anyone is interested, I know where to get the Revoltech Moguera for a pretty low price. I am not too sure how many they have but they are just over $13 + shipping from Japan. They also have Baragon, Mothra, Gamera and Gyoas as well as the preorders for Anguirus and Rodan for $28. I am going to place an order there soon so if anyone wants to pick them up, PM me and we can work out details. I just thought that it would save on shipping if a few people wanted it.

You can still buy it and keep in in its box. That's what I do with my figures.
