Welcome to the next spotlight thread! As I said in #8, I will tag AWMGodzilla62 for #10 ahead of time since they expressed an interest.

I decided to give the Gamera franchise some love, so the focus of this thread will be on the monster Barugon!

Here is my remote controlled ARII/Nitto kit, which I'm awaiting to start... will have to wait until I get a time to do it.

I'd love to get ahold of this beast some day!

Beautiful pic! Seems unlike the Nitto original, it appears to be the '98 Marusan reissue. Either way, lovely!!

Here is the original Bandai Barugon from 1991.

And the Bandai Barugon from the Gamera Memorial Box set 1999.

As we are MOVING, my other Barugon figures are packed up and already at the new house.

I adore the original Bandai Barugon, I regret not picking it up at G-FEST last year.

Don't have a betwer picture from my collection at the moment, but one of my favorite pieces in said collection is this Sega Barugon that I managed to nab for $20 at G-Fest back in 2012:

Here's a shot of it in the package, via ClubTokyo.Org:

That tail was not fun to put in.

Great score! You're lucky to have that Barugon! I had the Sega Gamera as a kid that went along with him, but wanted Barugon sooo badly so I could have something for him to fight. He's my favorite Gamera villain for sure.

Edit:
Speaking of Barugon- I starting working on the Nitto kit today, and DUDE are we plagued with issues! A factory mishap resulted in me missing a vital piece of the mechanical motor... luckily, I got copper wiring to use as a substitute.

Even so, this kit is hard. The motor is smaller and the way the legs attach are in no way simple or convenient. The reissue of the Marusan Plamodel Godzilla wasn't half as difficult as this one! I'm not even sure that the electronics are going to work fully at this point but we'll have to wait and see.
Regardless, any mistake I make here is one to learn from. I have the Nitto Gamera as well and won't start that until I completely finish this. Let's hope I get lucky with its completion. ;)
