Um, considering how they're dragging their feet on Showa & Millennium, I think it's a safe bet that we're not gonna see G98 or Bagan for a LOOOOONG time, if at all...

Ah, but technically, they are Kagayakashīdesu HEISEI. And how could SHMA pass up on their thunder-thigh'd ninities golden era?MandaSaurus wrote:Um, considering how they're dragging their feet on Showa & Millennium, I think it's a safe bet that we're not gonna see G98 or Bagan for a LOOOOONG time, if at all...
In all seriousness, it was a joke.

Hey people! Super new with posting but I've been lurking for a while now. I'm wondering if you think Moguera/ Mogera is worth the ~60$ you can find him for now and if Mothra is worth it's aftermarket price of around 120$.

Moguera definitely worth it. I wouldn't pay $120 for Mothra though._AkS_ wrote:Hey people! Super new with posting but I've been lurking for a while now. Mothra's priced at $354 up here. Though that'd only be $264 US, so you'd still be better off than us.SpanishBulldog63 wrote:Beats the hell out of the $179.30 price tag I see on Amazon.Godzilla21 wrote:Moguera definitely worth it. I've been feeling that way, Mothra only coming as a singular figure and retailing originally at 65$~ makes it hard to pull the trigger on 120$. I'll think about it and watch Ebay a bit more. Moguera on the other hand definitely seems worth it with it's accessories and sculpt. I keep feeling like I NEED to round out my Heisei collection with these two, mainly Mothra.

Mothra's gorgeous, but she's essentially a display-piece. Not worth anything upwards of $100. I wouldn't pay more than $80.

You'd think with Mothra being a popular monster they'd release another version of her. But that would require a new sculpt and we know Tamashii ain't 'bout that.
I will explain slowly why you are wrong.

I was thinking if there was going to be another "recoloring" it would be Mothra, but I can't imagine how that would look.

Who needs a new sculpt when all you'd have to do is sprinkle gold dust on the original and release it as the "Mothra Dust Version"?Castellan Zilla wrote:You'd think with Mothra being a popular monster they'd release another version of her. I'd be totally down for a Leo resculpt, though.

How many of you own the Moguera figure? and pushing the conversation forward a few months/years, I'm guessing the next figures will be 2016/2018 movie versions and maybe, MAYBE a Muto.

While not SHMA, read from one of the main people behind X-Plus that they were wary of the MUTO due to them not being very popular in Japan... Just something to keep in mind._AkS_ wrote:How many of you own the Moguera figure? and pushing the conversation forward a few months/years, I'm guessing the next figures will be 2016/2018 movie versions and maybe, MAYBE a Muto.
G2016 SHMA and Heisei-era SHMA Zero are what I'd expect to see next year.

Re: S.H. Monsterarts Episode 6: Return of the Threadi
I will agree that SHMA is definitely looking at some downtime. I, a long with the rest of us guess it has to do with sales. MUTO would seem to be a sane next choice but given the release and release of Spitfire 2014 Godzilla, and the QC issues, AND the amount of them still in retailer hands, I'm guessing they are questioning the future of the lines worth. Why they don't consider Showa? I have no idea, I've been waiting for a solid Gigan figure forever.

Re: S.H. Monsterarts Episode 6: Return of the Threadi
Well that is their fault for not releasing monsters people actually want to buy. Spitfire is just a repaint, so of course he is not going to sell well. Repaints rarely ever sell that good. It's ike with the Sentai teams for Figuarts. People don't want one ranger, they want the entire team. So in order for them to sell better, they need to actually release the entire team.

Tamashii makes Glorious Heisei Toy for Glorious Japanese Customerbase. No one but filthy Yankees want dirty Showa toy. To show feelings Tamashii make actual dirty Showa Godzilla to show how low and bad is Showa.
