Agreed. That is one of the things that holds me back from investing from this line...the scale is too damn small for such a price. If they were closer to the 8-9 inch scale that I prefer to collect in, then I would be all over them. I have found these figures quite often around Tokyo/Akihabara for about half the stateside price, but even that seems too pricey for their small size. Add in the fact that they're extremely easy to find (as I mentioned, in Japan you can literally trip over them in some stores, that's how often I see these figures). However, I will most likely pick up at least one at some point in the future (most likely the Godzilla one)....

Not to be a "hater" but yeah...the sculpts look sick on the Monster Arts figures but that's pricey for such a small figure. I might buy a few some day, but for that price they'll have to be version of characters I really like...and anything Hesei related will not be on my short list.

Still, congrats to you who love the Hesei era and own these figures.

Indeed. I don't like a lot of articulation in figures so something like that appeals to me ALOT. X Plus is where it's at for me, but their prices are a little ridiculous and their sculpts are all over the place. 10 years ago we had some pretty decent X Plus figures for great prices...the Gamera and Ultra Q figures namely.

While that is a very nicely sculpted kit, it doesn't seem to be anything I'd spend my hard earned money on. It's essentially a statue, and I prefer my figures to be able to do more than just sit on the shelf. I guess that's the difference between me and a lot of people around here.

BTW watsy, the SHM Godzilla can be found at cheaper than $65 shipped. Though I personally don't feel it's actually worth 60+.

That kit is amazing, but yeesh, 32 pieces? And its not pre-painted, I'm pretty sure. For a kit of that quality its a steal but for those reasons kits are pretty unfeasible for me.

It's pre-painted. It's an amazing figure. Same quality vinyl as the Bandais wth better scuplting. It scarifices articulation with a better all over mold.

Ultraman Dyna Ultra Act came today. Beautiful figure. Totally digging the sculpting improvements and the tightness of the joints. Cant wait for Zoffy and Hayata.

G2000 Banpresto arrived, this bad boy is huge, I love it. Also this classic style Banpresto Ultraman arrived, the pose and detail are great.

The green G2000 is the one I won an auction for, the black seems to be more rare.

Yeah, the black is slightly harder to come by. I had the choice to buy either at the time I got mine but, rarity be damned, I just plain liked the green better. It was our first G-Suit that was legitimately that color, plus it really jazzes up a shelf full of gray/black Godzys.

Ugh, my wallet is on the verge of murdering me now!

I bought my first X-Plus Toho Large Monsters Series figure just now, Gigan, from HobbySearch. http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10174024
I've been eyeing this one for a while, as well as the Godzilla '64. However, since the latter was sold out, and I have no intention of buying the 1967 version, I went along with Gigan, which is a BEAUTIFUL sculpt. However I will not make buying X-Plus figures a habit though, since they are indeed expensive figures. Eventually I just want to find a decent Godzilla figure from the Showa era to buy as well in the coming months.
