I'm happy with it.
But I still think I overpaid.

That's the sacrifice when buying web exclusives though I guess!

Pre-ordered 'Little Godzilla & Crystals' S.H. MonsterArts set from Anime Island for $38.69. With $6.30 USPS Priority Mail shipping, it's $44.99 total! Seems Anime Island is undercutting everyone else!

Well, it's not Godzilla, but it's still movie monster-related and it's pretty neat:

The 8" Sideshow toys that came out in the early 2000's are still THE most accurate depictions of the Universal monsters I've ever seen. They're simply exquisite pieces. They even made a Metaluna Mutant from "The Island Earth", one of my favorites in the line!

I've been trying to get into companies other than just Bandai recently, so the other day I put an order in for this guy:

I love the red/teal color scheme. Hopefully it looks just as awesome in person.

Revoltech Gigan Showa, have to wait a week for it.
In two weeks I can buy Revoltech Heisei Gamera.

I picked up one of the remote-controlled Aioshima maser cannons a few weeks back (did I post that before? I don't think I did...) as an alternative to the Revoltech Mogera I was thinking of getting - HLJ marked them down big time - but I haven't taken any pics yet. And just recently I scored three of the M1-Go Matango vinyls for a crazy sweet price. I put a pic of them here.

Just curious, but what's the scale on the Aioshima Laser cannon?

HLJ knocked their price down 80%. It was originally retailing for something like $230, but for a hair over $50, I couldn't pass it up. If you can stand either the shipping $$$ or the long wait for cheaper shipping, I recommend it highly. It's as close as you'll get to a prop or prop replica. As much as I love it, I'm still more excited about the vinyl :D
