It's like the ONLY thing they're lacking, comparing to the NECA line. Other than that, I can't say a negative word against the Raijin figure, nothing wrong with paint application, and the price was ok (45 bucks or so, not terribly much).

Also, good news about that Sovfi Spirits Otachi. I was ALMOST ready to pull the trigger and get a NECA one.

I think I'll go with Diamond Select over Bandai. Even what we get is worse than the prototype it'll still be better.

Even the prototype for Bandai Hakuja looked a lot better;

Had diamond select given Hakuja a release date yet? Sorry to be that guy, just can't seem to find a date

In this case, we're paying for the brand, not just for the quality of the figure. Anyway, while it's "just a vinyl", it's an IMPRESSIVE one. Tbh, it's easier for me to pay such amount of money for a good looking new release, than for some ugly-ass oldschool figure, just because its rarity.

Godzillian: My preorder for DS Hakuja says October 2018

Pre-ordered Bandai's Shrikethorn and Hakuja off BBTS. $60 for Shrikethorn, $40 for Hakuja. The wife was sitting here beside me, saying: "Order them, honey! Order them!" God has indeed blessed us... :D

EDIT: Got my Raijin today! What a beast! It's huge! Not the most poseable thing in the world, bigger and bulkier than most MonsterArts, but just as detailed as one! Good deal for only $40, IMO...

At this rate the figures are gonna make more money then the film.

I'm chomping at the bits waiting for a wave 3 confirmation! I'd love to eventually have a JEAGER ARMY comprised of the full cast from both movies.

And if the Jeagers do well enough, maybe they'll re-consider their course on kaiju and make some that are comparable to the Figuarts Ultra-monsters/SHMA.
Not as likely, but here's hoping.

I wonder if DS Hakuja will scale with Bandai Raijin and Shrikethorn. I don't want them to look weird beside each other just because i got the better looking Hakuja...

BBTS lists the DS Hakuja as 12 inches long, and the Bandai Hakuja as 11. It might work.

I hope the mass release looks as good as the prototype. That detail!

Thanks! I'll probably get the Ds then, it looks way better than the Bandai. The Bandai version seemed a tad small anyway. The detail on the prototype sure is great!

If the diamonds go well with the bandais then I might pick them up.

Kinda random, but I hope November Ajax's figure has some "holding accessory hands" - got a spear I want him to hold since he didn't use anything in the movie.
