NECA Godzilla Discussion Thread - 2nd Edition

There is the 1:1 suit scale Bandai *figure*. Costs the same as a small car iirc. I like big figures because they add variety to my collection. Missed out on the 2014 24" but I have the regular version and the jakks figure so I'd want a different suit for that size.

I've been looking forward to the new Neca 24" 2014 for months now.

I'm slowly learning that it seems like whatever month they say it'll come out,..add like 3 months to that day. I've yet to get a single Godzilla Neca figure in the month I was told it's coming out.

So if they're saying Atomic Shin is coming out in September I'll be expecting it around Christmas. Hahaha

Well those Godzillas are re-release, I'm sure they're lower on deadline priorities than brand new products.

Randy's comments about changing the box art makes me wonder if NECA could negotiate to get some more official reference material from Toho too. The sculptors have been doing well for just using screencaps and model kits, but if they could get proper photographic materials of the suits from Toho - or hey, even some of those nice photo books published over there - I bet the sculpts' quality could skyrocket.

Gonna make this Quick so I don’t clog the thread. Mattel revealed an articulated 6” blue at SDCC look it up it looks good. Now back to the Neca Godzilla stuff

He looks exactly how he should from the front view. The actual suit didn't look all that great, either - the figure probably looks better, honestly.

I hope King is out before the end of the year. I doubt it, but that would be really exciting.

Uhhh yeah like what everybody else has said, that looks like 62’ in the front. So that’s really good in my book.

Thinking again what I’d like to see from Neca, I would love to have a Ultimate Hedorah figure from them, like give it a battle damaged eye head, the little white balls, etc. They could even do an add on pack that has forms 1, 2, and 3. Like what was done with the Alien Covenant neomorph figures.

Showa G62 looks fantastic, kinda hoped he would've came out in 2020 so hopefully WB would let them make Showa and MV Kong, eh I'm not complaining, moar Showa the better life will be.

eh i just think the face looks off in the front the body is perfect. im getting both and im so glad neca is coming to target. its gonna make life so much better haha.

But, back to that '62. Damn that thing looks fan-fucking-tastic. Seriously, I'm super excited for it. I also saw that my local Target got a ton of NECA stuff, including Shin, 94, and burning Godzilla. Gonna love the fact that I just have to drive 5 minutes down to grab one.
