That would be Kumonga. It's NOT from Mars, and there's only ONE...Ultra_Henshin_Fan wrote:erm,... giant spider in Final Wars that shoots yellow webs,....

Well, jokes aren’t as fun when you have to explain them, but...
The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars is one of Bowie’s most famous albums (it’s really the one that propelled him to fame. Ziggy was a stage persona he took on for performances in the early seventies who was a Martian that came to preach and used his band (The Spiders from Mars) to become a rock star because he realized that was the best way to reach the largest number of people with his message.
Bowie as “Ziggy Stardust”
Gojira2K questioned why the NECA spitfire face paint resembled David Bowie (specifically as Ziggy) and several of us made follow up jokes.

Godzilla never actually fought Spiders from Mars. Hence why I *would* love to see it (and I meant actual Spiders, not the band)Stump Feet wrote:Godzilla: Ziggy Stardust Version?Gojira2K wrote:In hand pics. Why does the face look like David Bowie?

Well, your question indicated that you didn’t get the joke about spiders from Mars, hence the explanation.

When handling the wings, firmly pinch Rodan’s hands with your thumb and index finger at all timesGodzillaXGomoraFight wrote: Both of the wings on my figure are starting to drop. Any recommendations for how I can get the joint stuff again?

Sorry, I thought we were talking Godzilla & kaiju, not members of the Rock Star Hall of Fame...canofhumdingers wrote:Well, your question indicated that you didn’t get the joke about spiders from Mars, hence the explanation.

thanks for the tip about Rodans neck TohoKingdom, mine was upside down too.
Looks much better now and has a wider range of movement.

Re: NECA Godzilla Discussion Thread - 2nd Edition
Finally got my 1962 Godzilla unboxed and shelved; I'd been putting that off because there was a fair bit of clutter removal and rearranging I had to do first. Anyway, very impressive figure, huge and imposing, and I love all the detail in the skin. The tail socket had to be heated up to attach the tip, and a few joints are stiff, but it's in good enough shape for display.
With any luck, I'll be getting Mothra and Rodan next week. Are they consistently showing up at Books A Million yet?

the Neca 62 figure is so good it made me like and appreciate that particular costume a lot more than I did before.
Neca finally having articulated tails is a game changer. I've really been impressed with both the 1962 and the kotm 2019

Yeah, '62 suit ranks pretty low on the list for me, but something about the NECA figure was irresistable, and I don't regret buying it, it's fun to pose around and looks really good on display.

I know for a fact Mothra is, can't say the same for Rodan as I had to go into GameStop to pick him up.JAGzilla wrote:

I think you have a 50/50 chance of finding them both, you'll definitely find Mothra though
