Looks like the purple Gigantic shin is going to be out of reach. In my deep state of mourning, I pulled the trigger on a 1999 Gigantic. Found one new at a store for a good price. Throwing up a group photo.

I usually only collect BANDAI releases, but I want this as a stand-in for that Tamashii 'human-size' one, since it was made using the same sculpt. Since there is no re-issue of this particular figure on the horizon: could anyone possibly point me in the right direction via PM, if you know where to get one...? Thanks in advance!
Sorry for the double post, but I believe this figure is being reissued by X-Plus in kit form. I'm a bit iffy on the details, so hopefully we know more soon.

Found this, not sure about the translation but someone in the X-Plus group said February to March 2021.

To be fair, the GMK would be about as tall, if standing as we see him in the film, and I think the MechaGodzilla is about the same height as the '62... the KinGoji is really chonky though, for sure.

Cool, I used the google translate app on my phone and got this:

Image

So it looks like an unassembled vinyl kit coming first quarter of next year. Maybe exclusive to the Godzilla store?

How hard is it to get Godzilla Store merch? I’d have to assume that an unassmbled, unpainted kit would be significantly cheaper than a regular X-plus figure under normal circumstances. But if it’s an exclusive that might negate any savings I suppose?

Well if the Gigantic purple is any indicator...slim chance to none. The '91 is hugely popular. Other items are easy like the limited bandai figs in the secondary market.

Well, that sucks. I’m not on Facebook but if anyone has a lead/contact that can help obtain one of these kits please keep me in mind. I’d be very interested!

The Gigantic Shin was limited to 500 copies, though. Who knows what the run on this will be.

Heads Up y'alls...

If you are in the USA, Saturday evening, November the 14th, from 8pm EST to 2am EST, the Super Festival 84 will be happening in Japan, with the X-Plus booth in attendance. They will be showing NEW Products, and giving out flyers and logo stickers. They will NOT be selling any event exclusives, nor will they be bringing stock for sale.

You'll want to watch Twitter and Facebook for pictures of the booth to be posted by those that can attend in Japan, and get ready for new pre-orders to potentially go live Sunday evening/Monday morning...

I'm all about that Gwangi and Kraken. Both day 1 pre orders. Glad X Plus is branching out beyond Japanese kaiju.

Seems the new Gigantic 54 is also part of the Favorite Sculptor's line. The first in the Gigantic series, similar to how the original 54 was also part of the Sakai Modeling series.
