Summer Wonderfest is soon so maybe they'll show something there.

Looks like they may have made his shoulders even more prominant than the general design update for 2019 did. I'm gonna have to see a few more angles to decide to pull the trigger on that. I know they get a bit of an artistic flourish on the gigantic series every now and then, but I've yet to be disappointed with them. That said, he looks a wee bit odd here.

X-Plus (Star Ace?) 30cm Skull Island "Fighting Kong"...

Image

... I'll go ahead and call it now... there's a Skullcrawler coming... and you'll be able to put the two figures together in a battle scenario...

I'll totally get a Skullcrawler if they make one. I rather prefer the first one though.

Ew, Kong's head looks horrendous in that 30cm figure but I guess it would scale pretty well with the Gigantic.

I really like the mean tough guy expression of the original figure better than this guy.

So, what's the deal with the Gigantic G'19?

There has been no official Tweet from X-Plus announcing the pre-order, HobbyLinkJapan has had pre-orders open for two days ($581.89), but HobbySearch, AmiAmi and the RIC Site haven't got any mention of it yet...

Maybe X-Plus was waiting until during/after Wonderfest or something... it is a little bizarre for such a big release to have no official word yet.

That gigantic G19 is going to look I N S A N E next to that new 30cm attack pose Kong.

Whoever gets a hold of both has to take a pic of them together.

Preordered my Gigantic 19 from CDjapan. Came out to $680.

Depending on what the RIC looks like I might get it too.

I'm passing on it as well, waiting for the '74 MechaGodzilla...

I'll be interested to hear what the shipping is like for the G'19...

Can anyone tell me what they paid to ship the Gigantic '89 BioGoji from HobbySearch?

Man, I think I’m done with hobbysearch. It’s been an entire month since I first contacted them about my defective Ghidorah. Yes, they did make good on replacing it. HOWEVER, they gave me very specific instructions on how to ship it back in order to be reimbursed for the return shipping costs. I followed their instructions exactly but they still haven’t reimbursed me the $130+ it cost to send the first one back.

But the delay doesn’t bother me as much as the fact that despite sending multiple inquiries about the status of reimbursement they have completely ignored me. When I was contacting them about the figure they responded multiple times usually within 2-3 days or less. And they answered every question I asked about that. But when it comes to reimbursing the shipping cost, they haven’t answered a single question. In fact, some emails I would ask both about the figure and the shipping and they’d answer the figure question while ignoring the shipping cost question. Emails where I’ve only asked about shipping reimbursement have gone completely unacknowledged. Every single one of them. I’m pretty pissed at this point.

Wow... 9,000JPY off MSRP, that's one hell of a discount... I bet it will be something like $650US all in, shipped to the USA...
