That Ghidogoji must be around $250.00. Might get Mothra since I don't have any figure of her.

Anyone know how to buy from the ric toy site? I figure the Mothra and Godzilla 64 set is a good starting point and I wanted to try and get at least one x plus figure.

Try Hobby Search, they got him up for preorder already for $189.00miguelnuva wrote:Anyone know how to buy from the ric toy site? I figure the Mothra and Godzilla 64 set is a good starting point and I wanted to try and get at least one x plus figure.
Also I did not know the dorsal fins light up. That could scratch off Mothra off the list

I don't believe the Ric version is going to be available anywhere but the ric site, so if you're looking for the light-up gimmick on G'91 or the Mothra/G'64 set, you won't be getting it through any other online retailer.ILL GREEN wrote:Try Hobby Search, they got him up for preorder already

The Ric exclusive G'91 has the light up fins, the Ric exclusive for Mothra has G'64 is included. The standard release for Mothra comes with the egg, but without G'64. I don't believe you need to worry about G'64s fins lighting up.
Anyway, I do have a G'91 preordered. Looking forward to my first official X-Plus.

Grrr.. I was checking it out and yep, its the standard version. Anyhoo, got mine reserved as well. You gotta know someone in Japan for the Rics or take a chance on ebay. A couple times I found sellers selling Ric Boys for the same price as on their site.

Any idea on how much the G91 is going to be? Ric and non Ric?

From Ric's and Hobby Search sites, the Ric will be $239 and the standard $189. Thats not including shipping though. Add another $50 for good measure and that'll be the estimated total.

So is a middle man needed to order from the ric toy site? Would like to know before I order the Godzilla vs Biollante and the Mothra vs Godzilla sets.

^ Same. I'm new to X-Plus, 91 will be my first and I kind of want the Ric but I dont know how to go about ordering one. The standard I can order from amiami or hobby search and it will just ship like a normal product, right?

That's correct. I'm not really sure about going about ordering the Ric, but I'd assume you'd need to get a middleman involved.Godzilla 1986 wrote:^ Same. Bugger. I'm indifferent either way, so ill likely just opt for the cheaper standard. One other question, does amiami or hobbysearch charge for the preorder, or do they wait til its ready to ship?

Yes, I remember he said a guy named Mike from California. I wonder what his middleman prices are, the dude I usually contact in Japan charges $60 for the deed on top of the item and shipping. I only contact him when I really want something.

Ok so here is Rich Eso's blog on how to get stuff in Japan:

Note that his contact doesn't live in Japan and you are basically going through two middlemen.

Re: Official TK X-PLUS Collector's Discussion Group
Hmm...I am honestly not sure. He's a pretty busy guy. It took me almost a week for him to answer my Line messages and a couple of days for him to place my order. He Ordered the Burning Fist Gamera from me last year and kept it till I visited him last summer. I paid him cash when I got there and then brought the figure with me on the plane. If I were to ask him, I am sure that he would want the payment right away. He told me that the total came to 59,940 yen. I haven't worked out the details with him yet regarding how I will pay him. Last time I checked, Paypal wanted to charge me to send him money, even with the option to send money to a friend.miguelnuva wrote:Would he be willing to be a middle man for me?mikenes wrote:I just got word from my friend in Japan that he placed the order for me for the Godzilla Biollante combo. Thats a decent price for the G'Bio set mikenes. Judging from this pic Biollante seems slightly bigger than the SHMA version.

Re: Official TK X-PLUS Collector's Discussion Group
Considering how expensive this set will become once supplies run out, I rather think that you are VERY right.
It truly is a shame that X-Plus doesn't allow the fans in the US purchase the Ric exclusive versions of the figures. But who knows? Maybe one day it will happen. I would have never imagined that they would strike up a deal with Diamond to release their figures here, so I guess may one day we will see it happen.
