Everybody is talking about issues but I've only saw two KGs defected. Doesn't mean every figure has issues, mine didn't (proof upstairs).

I was appreciating and examining the figure last night and besides having huge wings, XPLUS nailed the sculpt. Although the color scheme of the mouth is a little off for his tongue and inner mouth is pinkish-red when it should be brownish-red and the mames at least should have been given highlights. Other than that, I felt like KG jumped out the screen they did an excellent job.

I've seen A LOT of King Ghidorahs with issues so far, ILL.

Plz people, let's not slip into the same sort of denial we had with the SHMA Ghidorah. It's rather counterproductive.

It seems 50-50 at this point, but that's still bad.

Yeah, looks like there are a lot of broken Ghidorahs. I take back my last post. I had no idea they left the factory that way. Most likely, some schmuck tighten the wires too tight during packaging making the figure prone to damage when moved around during shipping in the box. Wires should be a little loose to allow smooth impact, by tightening them, the weight of the torso moving around snapped the necks.

Derpzilla, when did you place your order? Someone got a reply from HLJ and they did the typical HLJ thing of keeping preorders open after they hit order cap. Some who ordered from them won't be getting it.

Can't check now but it wasn't too long from when they opened. I waited till the confermation that Hobby serach would do it. It was a while after before they stopped the preorders. I haven't recieved any messages on either way. Its still sitting there as in process. When I get back from work I'll check specific date. Though I haven't heard of anyone from HLJ getting anything.

The Hedorah is fantastic. My girlfriend hates it of course.

Finally got my email stating that they failed my preorder. Like how little did they get? I preordered it very soon from the order start. VERY disappointed since paying $500+ NOW for something that may be 50/50 is just bad. AND I live in a country that not many offer stuff to.

There is Toku Toku on ebay. He has it for $399 USD only one left.

Nah too expensive, its over a hundred US dollars shipping and aussie $ is 78c right now. I may as well buy a ric boy version and pay a little extra with free shipping for about $650 its only $40 extra.

I never said that. Even I think that's way too expensive for a figure ;_; But if I were to buy one it would be have to be a ric boy since its worth it for the value I'd have to pay now.

So King Ghidorah is the SHMA 2014 of the X Plus line.

I want this figure, but ultimately I am holding off because of all the issues. You'd have to spend about $375 for KG and I can't fathom having to fix a brand new figure right out of the box when it costs that much. That to me is unacceptable.

But man, it does look good when there aren't any defects. I admit that much.

Absolutely, but the odds of getting a perfect figure don't seem to be in your favor. Even though my figure was undamaged, I still had trouble getting a wing to stay on. and once one of those falls off and hits the floor or shelf, kiss it goodbye.

The moral: Always preorder from HLJ when it first goes up for preorder!
