Oh bummer I didn't know that. Maybe we'll see some GvK related toys from others then.

Where is the info coming from that the Famous Monsters deal is dead? I haven’t been following it closely, but this is the first I’ve heard that it’s over before it began. That would be rather disappointing.

It was mentioned on Collect All Monsters this past weekend, by David Dopko, that Famous Monsters Of Filmland was "no longer with us." You can see what was said at 4:55 in the video below:

Opened up my Ric G84 today, got the tail on & the “power unit” set up with a new set of AA batteries, plugged it in & no lights! Tried a different set of batteries & wiggled the plug around & still nothing. I’m going to email Ric & see how I can get a replacement. Kind of bummed out, the G84 is the first “light up” Godzilla I have purchased & was really excited about it.

Sorry to hear about this. I hope they work with you!

I refuse to get light ups anymore

Yeah, same... I only bought the re-issue of the 25cm MechaGodzilla RIC lightup because it was still cheaper than getting the original on the aftermarket. I've lit it up once for photos, and that's it...

Speaking of light-up MechaGodzillas...

The pre-order for the RIC version of the Gigantic '74 MechaGodzilla has sold out in 4 days, was supposed to go until March 10th... betcha they'll be doing a second batch...

Thanks for that, but it still doesn’t really give any actual info. Where did they hear that FM is no more? I can’t find anything online about it and their website doesn’t have any indication they are going out of business.

Never mind, I see it was posted on Facebook. Sometimes not being on social media is a hindrance, but overall I prefer not being involved in the facetweets and such.

We know if the standard is still scheduled for this month? Hobby Search hasn't changed their listing yet.

Yes, the Standard is expected this month. Awesome Collector sent his email out saying he would be taking final payments for Standard versions of the Sakai '84 a week ago.

I'm actually hoping/half expecting to see it drop on Hobby Search tonight (Sunday night US/Monday Japan).

The standard 1984 has officially been pushed back to March as per Hobby Search. Hearing rumblings that the coronavirus scare is partially to blame.

Yeah, just got my email too... trying to decide whether or not to put the Sakai with my other March shipment or not... don't really want to wait another whole month to have it, but saving on shipping would be nice...
