Not from what I've seen, but it's painted in a flame pattern like the original, with movie-accurate( this was the 70s, no one had seen Godzilla with anything but the steamy radioactive breath at this point )greys & blues, instead of the reds & oranges of Mattel's.

I don't like the pricetag either, but it IS big, and I always despised the old Mattel one for it's inaccuracies...

That'd be cool, but I think Toynami is waiting to see how this one does first...

I took some photos of the photo of the plush that they had out on display: http://toyfair15.asmzine.com/gallery/to ... ndex3.html

There was a physical sample too, but the whole thing had accidentally been made the same light gray as the fins, so they didn't want pictures taken of it until the color was corrected. The version in the picture is photoshopped into the right colors. It was pretty darned cute.

There's a picture of the Shogun box at the end of the gallery, too: http://toyfair15.asmzine.com/gallery/to ... 05665.html

I really don't get the point of slapping a year on a Godzilla plush when they rarely have any identifying features of that suit. They could have called it the 1993 Godzilla and it still would have looked like the same plush. Ah well.

It'll probably cost too much for me to be interested in, like the rest of their stuff.

Their Plushies range between $10 to $30, depending on how big they are.

The only reason I will pick this figure up is because it looks better than the original one.

Alright, educate me Manda; why the heck is this thing going to be between $100-200?
Super 7 produced something similar, & it cost $300 SRP. Why do YOU think it'll be under $100? I'd love to hear YOUR answer...
Because it looks like a cheap ass toy and there is no way in hell the thing actually costs more than $70-$80 to actually produce. It's not hand-made. It's not designed by a "name" sculptor. It's not... anything special. It's a gimmick based on a vintage toy and that is all. It costs so much because there's "hardcore collectors" that are dumb enough to buy it. That is why it costs so much.

That may not be HIS answer, but that be MY answer.

It hurt Godzilla. That's why I think that.

For 250 smackers, I'm just not feelin' it. The Super7 Shogun Stormtrooper was a limited, numbered edition of 1200 pieces. Don't think this Goji is gonna be a limited edition...

Indeed, it's a huge price. though it may as well be $5 in comparison to this abomination. they have the nerve to put a $400 price tag on this thing all because it's limited to 500 units, and it has a volcanic base which admitly does look kinda cool but who would even pay $400 for something that looks like a Diamond Select bank. when you can go get the X Plus 89 that was $291 or get the X Plus 89 and Biollante combo which costs around the same price.

TBH, there are OTHER things I'd rather spend $250 on. If it was around $150, I could see that, but $250? Don't think so...
