That would work at first glance...but closer inspection with the door frame heights, etc. would make G2K more of Kong 33 size. the green building on the left for example shows that Godzilla is only 4 or 5 stories high, despite his 50M height.

I can already tell good scaling is going to be a pain in the skreeonk.

i'm looking into the 1:650 scale lego models i posted earlier. they'd go perfectly with the heisei figures

Yep, leunames, that is correct. For myself, that's fine, but that's why I wanted to show the picture. To me, it still gives the impression of a big monster while allowing for a pretty good variety with great detail on the buildings (and vehicles), but I certainly understand those who want something closer to movie accurate scale. I've tried looking for z-scale buildings, which are around 1:200 scale, but the variety is not there.

This would look great in a mountain diorama/ natural landscape, imagine using some strings as overhead power lines to connect a bunch of these together and have Godzilla smash the shit out of them

Yep, leunames, that is correct. For myself, that's fine, but that's why I wanted to show the picture. To me, it still gives the impression of a big monster while allowing for a pretty good variety with great detail on the buildings (and vehicles), but I certainly understand those who want something closer to movie accurate scale. It's tricky for monsterarts-scale figures to get movie accurate. The figures are too small with respect that something 1:650 scale would most likely be an iconic building or skyscraper (why dedicate time and resources building a 1:650 scale shopping mall or apartment building when you can do 1 World Trade). That then leads into having the figures dwarfed by various office towers and the like, which they would be in real life. Unless you can find an airport of sorts or a seaport (which I have not seen).

It would be much easier to fine scale buildings and what not for a 12" tall figure or higher. Bascially the larger the figure, the easier it is to get scale buildings that "fit."

But of course, it's all personal preference. Yours works quite well

I can't find anything 1/700 that isn't a freaking ship. I do not think my Godzilla 2014 posing will work unless someone has found LEGO instructions for a city. Anybody have better luck, yet?

This is a thread I've been waiting for for a long time, I'm not picky about movie scale accuracy and personally like the Showa/Millennium to early Heisei scale so having my Heisei monsters look like shrimps to their usual height is fine with me.

You could adjust the scale in something like Photoshop for any type of paper craft model theoretically. You would just need to know the basis of the original scale (meaning, the DPI used to represent 1cm, or 1inch, or 1 foot etc. in the real life item).

The challenge with these small items is that you would really need to scale them down even further to make them 1:650 scale...almost to the point of it being more hassle vs. just printing out several buildings or so.

That being said...there are some toy planes on ebay that are at 1:650 scale...

Oh sh--okay, you got me there but I'm missing the following: Destoroyah, Godzilla Junior and Burning G. Godzilla 2014 has an airport scene, too. I guess that would make my need 1/700 scale, though. I found some 1:450 stuff:

I have been working on a little diorama set for my stop motion videos. I am using N scale buildings, mainly by Bachmann. I know they're far from perfect but don't really care, I think they create a nice looking scene. The way I see it Godzilla, and other monsters like Kong's, scale changed so much film to film to be practically arbitrary. It's your creation, they can be however big or small you want.

There are those of us that want their kaiju figures to be displayed in a way that makes them look like what a daikaiju is: gigantic. Not twenty feet tall. I do see where you are coming from. In 450 scale my 6" tall Godzilla is no 100 meters. It'd be closer to 70 meters which I don't mind because that is 10 meters taller than GMK Godzilla.
