The best scale for monsters that you want to look 100 meters and above would be 1:700 scale which is, unfortunately, hard to come across.
T gauge (1: 450) is the best in that you can find something that makes Godzilla look big and that is relatively easy to find. They have an assortment of things in T gauge scale, I would recommend it.
How long has it been? I honestly forgot.

Just ordered that Ruinscape tabletop game to use for my figures. Good price and setting it up will be fun for me to do.
I will explain slowly why you are wrong.

Someone posted this earlier in the thread:
http://www.amazon.com/4D-York-City-Skyl ... JEYDDB9TCC

I'm extremely tempted to get it, since it looks like just a ton of plastic models of buildings for the monsters to fight amongst! I was wondering if anyone has it. If so, what are your thoughts on it?

It looks too packed together to actually have monsters fighting inside of, but I was just going to take the buildings pieces out and have them fight on a desk or something. Only problem I see with this is that it looks like some pieces are pushed up with an inch or half an inch peg to keep them inside of the puzzle.

The Pack of Destruction pieces Bandai recently made for the 2014 stuff is okay, but I'd rather have pieces that are more stable and look good from all angles!

I wouldn't bet on using these 4D city puzzle sets for your MonsterArts. These buildings are really small and at best would only reach the upper thighs of SH MonsterArts Godzilla 1994. So yeah....look elsewhere if you want to get some Destruction Pack like buildings or other building types closer to scale with the figures we collect. Otherwise your just setting yourself up for disappointment.

Thanks man! I actually was looking for buildings for 3 to 4 inch figures, especially the Bandai chibi figures. The kid inside of me wants to play with them and wreck buildings! :)

^ Well, this link shows how the Tsuburaya Film Stage Special Effects Diorama scales with the Ultra 500 line:

http://p-bandai.jp/b-boys-shop/item-1000090545/

It therefore looks as though it would look fairly good with the slightly larger Monsterarts figures. Of course, there's nothing to stop one from using Kato and other brands of buildings with the set for different scales.

I'm very much new to collecting SHMA figures, but if I was going to make a diorama it looks like the 1:450 is the way to go. Godzilla would be what, 70ish meters tall? That's big enough to keep him looking like Godzilla, but small enough to keep the detail for the models. Plus, 1:450 items seem widely available, yes? If anyone has any scale suggestions, I'm all ears. It would be especially helpful to find some larger mats for both a city and countryside.

The Tsuburaya effects set looks damn cool. But For what you get, you can build your own set with some sculpey and cardstock. Some railroad tracks for camera movement and you good.

There are many books on making buildings origami-style out of paper too. This is my paper building set. Great to destroy and burn. Copy machine can always produce more

Yes I'd like to know as well about the 25cm size (I want mine to be 50m Goji version) I'm guessing 1:150th would be right?

@Godzilla11

It seems that nobody cares to aid us here, (the double post time is absolutely ridiculous btw) that's why I've been kind enough to provide you with the answer for the scale of the figures, however I'm basing mine on the 50 meter scale godzilla, reason being is that i have ultraman figures and want them all to be the same or similar scaled for a 50 meter godzilla the scale is very close to Z-Gauge (1:220th).

I'm a nice guy however so I'll post a 84-89 (80 meter) size scale:

either 1:300th, or 1:350th scale (I'd go with whatever has easier stuff to find)

hell let's do a 100 meter scaling for kicks:

either 1:400th, or T-Gauge 1:450th works great (again either may be off a we bit but it's the closest scale)

Z scale buildings would be best for 25 and 30cm models. A 20 story building should be up to Goji's waist.

Whats a good Tokyo Tower and Osaka castle to get that looks good with bandai vinyls (6 and 8 inch) on display? Doesn't have to be in perfect scale with them.

Indeed...I did the math with a hobby calculator and assuming Godzilla was 50 meters and the figure was 23 cm (they range from 22 to 25 in the 25cm line) the closest scale would be 1:220th Z-Gauge

30cm however would be closer to 1:192nd scale or 1:200 although finding stuff in the scale maybe hard....so you may have to let z-gauge be the one for that as well..

Well assuming a 50 meter Goji. at 6" that'd be closest to 1/350th scale so here:

Tokyo Tower:

http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail ... SCL2-24782

Osaka Castle:

http://www.amazon.ca/Osaka-Castle-Plast ... B001BN77AG

Assuming a 50 meter Goji. 8" that'd be closest to 1:268th scale problem is none exist at that scale that i can find..same goes with 1:285th scale, or even Z-Gauge...you'll have to pretend they're larger monsters with the 1/350th scale...sorry :/

That 1/350 scale Osaka castle would be perfect scale for the 24" NECA Godzilla.
