I guess not too many people on here care about these? :?

Well at any rate I went to Kohl's today and they didn't have the ornaments out yet so I will go back in a month and scope it out then.

On a side note, was the ornament that featured Showa Godzilla and his enemies around a footprint ever released? I saw it in a issue of G-Fan once but then I never heard or saw anything about it since.

The 2006 Heisei Godzilla ornament is fairly easy to come across and is not that expensive. He is available on Ebay.

The 2005 one however, you would be paying a pretty penny for. Lately, I haven't seen it available for less than $100. :freak:

So I was at my local Meijer store today and just out of boredom, I decided to walk over to the stationary section where they have all the cards at, and I walked by a small shelf with about 8 ornaments hanging up, and by some amazing twist of fate, one of them happened to be the Burning Godzilla! :D They had two available so I bit the bullet and plucked down $25 and brought him home to be with my other 5 ornaments. He is beautifully sculpted. When you press his top back dorsal plate, he roars as the burning spots glow red. Then they fade and brighten to correspond with the sound in the movie where you hear the energy fizzing and sparking (like after he sees his son dead and stands up as shafts of light come out of him, thats the sound this figure has and the lights flash along with the sound effects). And then he lets out a more pained roar before the lights fade out. Overall, this is my second favorite of the American Greetings ornaments. My one complaint is that his back dorsal plates do not light up. I was sure from the picture online that they would, but they are just a clear (though vaguely painted) dark brownish-orange plastic. Also, the plate you have to push to get him to roar/light up is painted a bright neon orange along the edges which does look somewhat odd compared to all the rest of his back plates. But in spite of those minor flaws, I think this is easily one of the best in the ornament series and I do hope other fellow Godzilla fans will go out and support American Greetings for trying to help keep Godzilla produced in some form here in America.

This one was cool too:

I own that one along with the Heisei one with buildings, Godzilla and Mechagodzilla's head, and the Showa themed one.
{EDIT} Holy shit GojirO, that was a hell of a bump.

I didn't know this thread even still existed... :? This is the recent thread that I am keeping updated. viewtopic.php?f=11&t=7689

On a side note, it's very frustrating that so many people were able to hunt down that one cheaper ornament I was never able to find. I seriously assumed that it was never produced. I looked EVERY WHERE for that darn thing. And finding one that is still for sale anywhere is next to the realm of "flying to the moon in a homemade cardboard rocket ship" level of impossibilty.

Yea I wouldn't want to pay that much for it either. Although the first one definitely was the neatest of all them.
