Godzilla Egg (BANDAI)

In March of 2014 BANDAI of Japan will finally sell Godzilla toys again! The new lineup is called Godzilla Egg and is basically the same thing as the Ultra Egg line of Ultraman figures. They are small toys which can transform from an egg-shaped ball into a character figure. The first items to see release in March are:

Godzilla
Mothra
King Ghidorah
Mechagodzilla
Gigan

Although I'm not interested in these egg-items, I hope they're an indication of a possible revival of the vinyl figures as well. There's hope now, at the very least.

Are you sure you couldn't care less about them? Like, what if they announced that they were made out of a form of plastic so cheap that merely touching it would introduce chemicals into your bloodstream. I think you'd care a bit less then.

i have that green godzilla as well. i need to dig that sucker up someday. i remember that my teacher had them in some prize box when i waas really young and i picked up a green and yellow orangey one. they were pretty cool. cant remember if she had a gamera one though. basically my class went apeshit for em. everyone knew i was a godzilla fan so i spent the next week or so explaining to them what monster was what and other jazz

Just saw a picture of the first batch of eggs. Includes Godzilla, larva and adult Mothra, Gigan, Ghidorah and Mechagodzilla. All Showa versions. As it should be.

Which Showa Godzilla was it?

^That Godzilla looks more like one of the ones in the Hesei series than the Showa. Unless it's supposed to represent the '54 or '55 suit.
