Wow, usually the Japanese title is a lot crazier.

Well, the full Japanese title is Denkou Choujin Gridman (Lightning Superman Gridman), but yeah. lol

The Americanized version was done kinda like Power Rangers--they made new drama/comedy scenes with American actors and just used the Japanese effects scenes. The episodes were kinda meh, but I was always blown away by how cool the monsters and everything were.

I wouldn't mind getting a few of the great Gridman monsters out of the ULTRA-ACT line...

Hock/Bagira would be an obvious choice.

I wouldn't hold my breath. It's like pulling teeth to get Ultra-series monsters out of them.

I remember my son watched this show when it aired in the U.S. I think it only lasted one season over here. He had most of the toys, including a bunch of the monsters. They may still be floating around the house.

As for the Gridman monsters, it would be nice if we could get one for Ultra-Act line as the designs are pretty good, but as Manda2012 said, getting monsters in this line is like pulling teeth.

Btw, I recently got my UA Zoffy figure with a mantle. It took some hunting, but I was able to track one down before he completely disappeared from the Japanese market without breaking the bank! Very awesome figure if you can get him! The UA Ultraman 2.0 will be a huge improvement over the first release with the articulation and QC, if Zoffy is any indication.

Snapped a few quick pics:

I wasn't going to bother with the cape, but now that i have it, I think it looks pretty darned good on Zoffy! I guess that means I'll be getting another one for my Ultraman 2.0 when he's released.

As for the rest of pics, I did something a little different called...

Lol, hilarious! It's nice to see somebody enjoying their figures as much as you obviously do!

I second that sentiment. Good show!

Glad you guys enjoyed that! :) I may pick on Zoffy some more down the road with future photoshoots, since he seems to the be the whipping boy of the Ultra-universe.

I'm kinda of suprised I haven't seen any mention of desire or possibility of an Ultra Act version of Arch Belial

'Arch Belial'? Is that different from other Belials? UA has done a few Belials already.

I really don't follow Ultraman series at all just became interested in the monsters that are in scale (basically) with the S.H. Monsterarts but I came across this guy and said holy Skreeoonk! that would be a cool Ultra act figure!

Apparently UA thought so too. They made at least 2 I'm aware of.

A UA of Arch Belial would be absolutely amazing, but with the sheer bulk of the thing it would be $120 easy.
EDIT:

Can anyone confirm or deny if that is Tiga's old sculpt?
