Yeah, I have to agree that appears to be older version. That right ankle shows a small space with the pivot showing. There's no ball joint there. The cape looks odd on him too.

Plus, that one has the old unpainted, red plastic body. You can tell because of how shiny it is.

The new models of the other Ultras have the red areas painted on.

Considering how red Ultraseven is, I wouldn't be surprised if they went for red plastic for him. Same with Taro.

It's actually an explosion accessory, called the "Korin Effect"; it's is a web exclusive packaged with first runs of Gaia V2 (I believe; that's how I got mine.)

That is correct you can still Find this figure and the Korin effect for a pretty good price I just picked up 2 myself since I really liked the explosion. Goes great with other figures as well.

Well, yeah, it's an explosion, but doesn't Gaia make that when he stomps on the ground?

Read that somewhere...

Is it only exclusive to the web release, though? That's a bummer....

Messing around with Ultraman 2.0 ...

It's a shame that I'm reading some collectors ran into looseness issues with their new Ultraman. I've handled mine pretty vigorously for the photos, & just to test out the new joints. They're still tight.

Hopefully, they'll continue to improve with the next few releases.

Still haven't gotten shipping notification for the Ultraman 2.0 I ordered. Still says "processing". Starting to get a little peeved.

Any guesses as to when Red King will go from 'pre-order' to 'in-stock'? I don't order a lot of UA stuff, so I'm sure most of you would have a better idea than me.

Can't wait for Red King's release. The only Ultra-Acts that I'm interested in are the ones from the original Ultraman series. So far all I have is Baltan II, and plan on buying Ultraman (2.0) and Red King. Does anyone know where I can find an Ultra-Act Gomora? (Preferably under $70, if possible).

At this point you'll be lucky if you find a Gomora for under $100

^ Yeah. I really want one, but I can't justify spending over $75 on one.

I also want the Imit Ultraman (Fake Ultraman) Exclusive figure, but he's just like Gomora, too expensive.

Pretty much. The last supplies of cheap Gomoras at retail have dried up. It's strictly a secondary market item now. $100-150 is the going rate these days.

Yes, sadly a limited production run means that the cheapest way to purchase these figures is to buy them when they are new, or, better yet, up for preorder.

Fortunately with releases fairly well spaced out, that generally isn't a problem for those with a modest budget; things only start to get tough when web exclusives and out of print figures are added to the mix. :g2k:

I snagged mine for around $90 from Anime Jungle - their last one in stock too. Not the cheapest price, but it could've been worse.

Yeah, that's the problem with not being jumping on the train right from the start. If you're going to obtain these kind of items too late, they may cost you an arm and a leg with ease. Personally I missed out on Andro Melos, Jean-Killer and Zoffy... no way of finding them anywhere near their original price tag now... -_-

It was the Monsterarts that got me to start wanting to collect super-articulated figures. I've only recently made the desicion to start collecting Ultra-Act figures. Like 3-4 months ago. All I have is Baltan II so far, but plan on getting Ultraman 2.0 and Red King soon.
Oh, and I forgot about Zoffy! He was in the original Ultraman series, too, so I want him at one point. But he presents yet another challenge!
