Custom Figure: Revoltech Gamera 1999
My Revoltech Gamera 1995 took a shelf dive and the neck joint snapped. So I took its parts and combined them with a Gamera 1999 hyper figure

I’m going to be getting NECA’s 1964 Godzilla soon. So in anticipation I’ve started working on a in scale 1964 Mothra to go with it. Here’s a look at the head sculpt.

godzilla98rules wrote:Well godzilla1541, I don't know how you're able to do it. Even though I own four other variants of this sculpt it still killed me to cut this guy up:

I removed a few millimeters from the neck to make it shorter, added an articulation joint using some old Bionicle peices and removed the jaw and lower teeth to give him a closed mouth. Honestly I think that my changes improved the overall accuracy to the 1968 suit.

More to come and also a hint:
This isn't 1968........

UPDATE:

Image

I painted the modified mouth and added damage to his left eye and swelling to his left brow. (Not shown, but I also added cuts to his right hand.)

All that's left to do is fix any mistakes and paint him!

UPDATE:

My Godzilla 1971 is finished! I applied a grey wash to pop out the sculpt and dirtied it with some light brown. I also added some tan to the right hand and his left brow to highlight the damages made by Hedorah.

Image
Very random question, but what’s that Hedorah figure you own? I have one, but I haven’t seen or anyone else ever owning that figure.

Prepare for a massive image wall.
Custom Figure: NECA Godzilla 1964! Resculpted the face to be more suit accurate, repositioned the jaw, made the hands thicker, and made the dorsal spines more accurate ImageImageImageImageImage

Custom Figure: NECA Rodan 2019!
Added a jaw joint, waist joint, Tail joints, and knee joints, fully repainted in a Screen acurate color scheme (Rodan is more burgundy to brown in the film) ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

Custom Figure:NECA Godzilla 1967! Resculpted head, spines, chest, stomach, thighs, and feet. Made to look like the main 1967 suit ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

Any criticism or Comments are appreciated. Looking for constructive criticism!

Your work is fantastic and inspiring. I was a customizer 20 some years ago with wrestling figures and seeing these scratches that itch to dabble again. Keep it up!

I’d love to see some in-progress photos of your custom 64 to see what exactly you did. It’s already a wonderful figure out of the box, but your subtle mods make it nigh on perfect. Nice job!

The others look great as well. That ‘67 is awesome!

Excellent work godzilla1541! You've been busy for sure. '64 & Rodan are perfection. '67 was a surprise I didnt expect. My only criticism (since you asked) would be to fill the jaw to neck in more somehow on the '67. I see it mostly in the 3rd picture of him. Again, outstanding work.

Thank you! Unfortunately I can’t really fill in that gap too much as it limits the jaw articulation. Good thing it’s only apparent from one specific angle! When the mouth is open it isn’t visible at all.

That looks damn good so far. Would love to have one. I'm a terrible mothra fan boy, I have nothing of the 64.
