Okay, it's not an actual beer, but it is an antique lighted sign shaped like a beer. Ironically, I searched for this particular piece of advertising for years, and finally found it on the other side of the country and had it shipped thousands of miles, despite the fact that I live within five miles of the brewery!

That's the Marusan Metallica version. He's actually more of a reddish copper/bronze, in normal lighting:

The red looks good on the Mechagodzilla. I think they also did a 12" MG if I'm not mistaken.

Mine is the 10 inch version, and I think the next step up is their 16 inch giant MG, but in original colors only.

I absolutely love the metallic red one. The sculpt is good and all, but I have so many MGs that I wasn't exactly itching for the Marusan...until this release. Once I laid eyes on this colour, I knew I had to have it.

I just found out that not some, but all of the Brooklyn Lager sold in 12oz bottles is actually brewed in my hometown, by the F.X. Matt brewery. I knew Matt produced a good portion it, but for some reason I assumed that Brooklyn Lager had more brewers than they do. In fact, the small operation where they give tours in Brooklyn mainly produces drinking establishment-bound beer, and some of the smaller-scale releases. The major bottled runs are all made in Utica, NY. Pretty cool, since I'm a fan of Brooklyn Lager

Many beer geeks do know this, but the brewery that’s open for tours in Brooklyn doesn’t brew most of the Brooklyn beer you drink. Space is at a premium in New York City, and there simply isn’t enough room for the bottling equipment to meet Brooklyn Brewery’s demand. Any Brooklyn beer sold at retail in a 12-ounce bottle is brewed in Utica.

Gigabrain. They've done many variations, but nothing as unique (and relatively tasteful) as the blue/black/plum version.

Brewed in Singapore. A bit of spice, but a reliable tasting lager overall.

^As sad as this is to admit...I have yet to find the Asian beer that I would pick off a menu. Granted, I don't much like domestic or Mexican brews either, so maybe I'm just partial to a particular flavor...
