I agree. Tough to find a rival to any of them IMO.

Oooohhh Kiryu....can't believe you made me order you. I'll see if I have any regrets when I get it.

Also, I can't wait to see some pictures of the 30cm Gamera '96.

Just received notice from Hobby Search moments ago that Varan is now in stock! I also received my receipt of payment through Paypal too. I should get mine hopefully by Friday or Saturday if it ships out today. If not, then I'll get it by Monday or Tuesday next week.

Sweet! Thanks for the heads-up! Mine is a manual process, so I'll watch for their email.

No problem!

All that I have left for my X-Plus haul for this year is next month's Titanosaurus. I don't think I'll be ordering the 25cm Anguirus '68 after all. With the announcement of the SH MonsterArts Godzilla '95 and Junior, I will be buying those instead. I'll track down Anguirus later on when I acquire more money, and pay off for the rest of these other items.

I'll have the Titanosaurus, Daimajin, and eventually Gamera. After that, I'm sure more although I'm hoping for a break. lol

I'm just waiting for the day a Toho Large Monsters Series OR Toho 30cm Series King Ghidorah is announced!
However, after Titanosaurus I am taking a big break from X-Plus and focussing on my growing S.H. MonsterArts collection, the sad thing is that I still WANT to get the 25cm Anguirus '68 though. XD

MonsterArts look pretty sweet and would probably be buying those if X-Plus wasn't sucking me dry.

My goal is to have a complete MonsterArt collection, so I have no choice but to buy every single standard release and web exclusive.

X-Plus, I am a bit more flexible with, and can live without having every single figure. I'm pretty happy with the bunch I have at the moment - 25cm Gigan, 25cm MechaGodzilla, 30cm Rodan 1964, 30cm Godzilla 1989, 30cm Varan, and 30cm Titanosaurus.

So yeah, essentially at the moment I collect ONLY both X-Plus and S.H. MonsterArts, as well as a few Ultra-Acts. I still buy some of Bandai's older vinyls here and there. However, I stick to the primary two lines as a means to keep myself under control. XD

Oh yeah, three new Large Monsters Series Monster Museum Series figures are up for preorder now at Hobby Search - Bemular, Ragon, and Antlar.

Yeah, that Gamera is freakin' FABULOUS! Here are the links to the new announcements...

Painted prototype of 30cm Gamera, painted 25cm 1968 Godzilla prototype, and unpainted 25cm 1968 Anguirus. They all look good but I think the Gamera looks AMAZING!

I guess I'm wierd but I think Gamera should always be um..."cute". 95 or Showa for me all of the way. He's a children's character after all. If they make a Showa Gamera I'll probably buy it. Until then I'm holding out hope for a King Seesar and a 30cm Gomess.

Thanks for posting the links BradleySimmons.

If my Japanese is correct (and it's been known to be wrong before  haha), the pre-orders go until Aug. 20th, 6pm. G68 comes with a Minya exclusive around 15cm ( zzzzz...). I *think* it says that Angilas comes with with an Lunar SY3 exclusive (now this pretty cool if correct), but I will try to confirm this later on (Japanese gf is out of town to help me confirm my translation).

I need to see the painted version of Angilas before making up my mind on it...it would be the one I'm most interested in. Looks great in the second complete body profile pic, but the angle of the first pic makes its snout seem a little short (again, could just be the angle).

As for the 68 Godzilla...eh, just not feeling this one (I already have the Xplus Gonad Goji 71, and judging from these pics alone it seems like a superior figure to this).

I have absolutely no interest in a 30 cm Gamera...

That Godzilla and Anguirus '68 sure look smexy!
Sigh... too bad I'll have to pass on them for now. :(

That Gamera, though, looks AWESOME!

Damn! I'm gonna have to buy all the damn toys! The rocket ship pack-in for Anguirus would be great!
I hate to say this, but I bet we see a Ghidorah scaled to the 25cm before we ever see a 30cm one.
Maybe this means a Goro, etc.. from the DAM line, all in 25cm.

Hi Frank - I got an email today from X-Plus, who said they're also working on a 25cm Gorosaurus and Varan as well. So, probably the full DAM line in 25cm eventually.

Very nice! I'll be getting King Ghidorah when it eventually comes out.

Turns out, I MAY buy Anguirus first, and get Godzilla later rather than getting them both at once. As for the other monsters, I'll pass on the 25cm Varan since I already have the 30cm one (which is on its way to me at the moment). If 25cm Gorosaurus comes out next year, I'll definitely get that figure!

By the way, do any of you know when the 25cm Goji and Angy are coming up for preorder?

I knew it! So maybe we'll see a 30cm Ghidorah in a couple years as their last figure before they move on to new series.
I like the fact that they are also continuing with the special exclusive pack-ins. I wonder what the Gorosuarus pack-in will be if any?
