It's not that Tamashii "banned" any characters. IIRC only Bandai has merchandising rights on those particular characters for accurate, "playable" toys.
Anyway, personally I'd rather see them as Revoltechs. Better prices and generally cooler accessories. The smaller size is a downside, I admit.

Regardless, a Tamashii Gamera was already hinted at. GreenAiden55 posted a pic featuring Godzilla fighting Gamera from Bluefin/Tamashii's facebook. Hopefully we get it in 2012. Before Mothra would be nice.

I don't collect a lot of toys because I don't want to overwhelm my living area with toys, but I had to get the Legion toy. Legion was my favorite monster from the Gamera series. I have only one other revoltech piece and that is Eva Unit 02. I really like the way they put a toy together and have an eye for detail. The paint job they do on these toys is great. I'm still sitting on my hands from buying Gigan.

The Revoltech Gigan is highly recomended to anyone who is a Gigan fan or giant monsters in general.
