Garuda's pretty nice. The cables... I'm afraid I'm gonna snap 'em. They're like little bread twisties.

Also, Tamashii, why can't we get extras like... Oh, I dunno...

When I first saw the images without reading your post I thought it was Utsuno's extras.
I was sadly disappointed.

The only thing we know of that figure is that there is a prototype. Not even an announcement of a date.

I was going nuts yesterday when I finally held my MonsterArts Spacegodzilla box in my hands. I took it out in childish joy and first thing happening while moving it was his right arm fell right off. I couldn't get it back in the joint without disassembling the whole upper body, which was a very hard task du to me fearing to break it completely! But it worked and it's perfect again! Jeez...

However, no pics for I assume everybody knows how he looks like by now ~

Why do I have a strong feeling that Tamashii will use this as the mug shoot for the Monsterarts Burning Godzilla box.

D: There's nothing miniature about that urinal; it'd have to be HUGE!

Welp, after doing more research and watching a few video reviews, I pulled the trigger on Godzilla...should be here Monday with Amazon's one day shipping. If I like him as much as I think I will, I'll be selling off the vinyls in favor of SH (I would keep them all, but I can only spend so much on toys..and I just haven't been getting very excited about vinyls lately. Super articulation, on the other hand, has been giving me a serious boner). Rodan and King Ghidorah are gonna be mine too. Can't waaiittt. :D

I'm sending my Godzilla right back if there's any sign of derpy face though. Thank god the packaging is see-through..

I have no use for these digital copy/UV things, so I'll give codes away whenever I buy a disc. I currently have a code for Jurassic Park, PM me if you want it!

And people wonder why the vinyl fans are starting to get aggravated at the MA series.

Well if he was smart, he'd only sell his Heisei vinyls. People planning on dumping entire vinyl collections for this series are being far too shortsided.

What's this got to do with "vinyl fans"? He has made a choice based on his own personal preference just as you have, Legion; what's that got to do with you or any other "vinyl fans" such as myself? It isn't the choice I would make but it isn't my choice to make for him. Nor is it yours.

People can do whatever the hell they want to do with their collections and can collect whatever the hell they want to. I love you Legion, but you are not the arbiter on what is "acceptable" collecting behavior. Let it go.

If the line is doomed to end/fail/stop making Godzilla or whatever other negative things you are predicting come to pass then congratulations; all of the "vinyl fans" can have a nice good old fashioned, Commander Mugen style belly-laugh and break their arms patting themselves on the back. In the meanwhile the entire scope of Godzilla collecting will have shrank that much more; but that's good for the "vinyl fans", right?

I can see why a fan of vinyls would feel a little irked at people dumping their vinyl figs for the MA series, but, hey, we can disagree, focus on different figure lines, and move on. No need to fight over it.

Let's not have yet another battle over this. Everyone lay off it.

The thing is, I agree with parts of what both you and Legion are saying, but you're both being unnecessarily hostile--more so on the FB group in question, where insults and provocation were abound--and since I have a little control over the discussion here, I'm asking everyone to please keep it friendly in this thread.

Everyone makes their own choices, and everyone has their opinions. It's okay to sell your vinyls for MonsterArts, and it's okay to say that's a bad idea and shortsighted. But let's not insult people for their choices, and let's not bait people into vitriolic arguments.

I'd forgotten how long it can take for this sort of argument to die down. It happened in my other collecting community, Masters of the Universe, when people began selling their vintage figures when the Millennium line came out, and then years later when people began selling their Millennium figures when the Classics line came out. I myself sold off my Millennium collection when Classics came out, and fortunately that's worked out just dandy for me.
