Speaking of Obsidius and Krystalak, why didn't Obsidius have a Monster copyright symbol?

I swear the monsters were tinted themselves in one of the games... I remember pointing out how Rodan seemed like a gummy candy he was tinted so much. He would be like BRIGHT Yellow, Blue, Red or... Green?

Yeah, STE was the one that tinted monsters different colors. It looked really ugly. Like, you might expect a green Rodan to keep the color of his belly and horns AND SUCH, but no, it was just all... greenish. The 3rd and 4th player options were strange too. It was ORANGE and red? So there wasn't much of a difference anyhow.

Awesome!

Yesterday, I stumbled upon something to do with Godzilla and decided to look up if there are any new games... low and behold I stumble upon this site through wikipedia.

Also we have played together Mr. Strange. I'm not sure if you were able to join but on a forum(can't remember) we put together an xbox live tournament with Godzilla: Save the Earth. I think it was in 2005, it was a blast, but hard to pull off.

So you will try to gather interest at G' Fest? Facebook can really help also.

Hmm, I hope we get the needed support. I would donate $500 (or more) to control the giant lizard again. There is a lot of stuff I would like to know, I will write it all down later.

Hey Simon, not sure if you can say, but how much money did it cost to make Godzilla: Save the Earth?

Google. It's your friend.
Apparently SWTOR said that I can invite 25 people for a 7 day trial of the game. PM me if interested.

Re: (Possible) Matt Frank & Simon Strange Monster's Tally/Vo

Postby Zentenk » Sun May 06, 2012 1:47 am

This tallying doesn't make sense for some listed.

For example different Godzillas couldn't just be reskins?

Select Godzilla then up/down to select what era. Same goes for all the others, in game you unlock a new skin or make it a purchased upgrade like League of Legends costume upgrades.

I don't see a reason to vote for Godzilla.

Mothra
King Ghidorah
Mechagodzilla
Anguirus
Rodan
Gigan

Should be a given, no reason to vote for those.

Biollante
Megaguirus
Space Godzilla
Varan
Kumonga
Kamacuras
Hedorah
Megalon
Titanosaurus
King Caesar
Battra
MOGUERA
Destroyah
Gamera
Orga
Baragon
Manda
Monster X
Ebirah

and the Cloverfield monster.

I'm guessing this is where we can ask questions on the new game?

Well, one thing that bothers me is some characters are not playable. I hate that! I know there are bonus like say Super-X appears. How about if you die in a multiplayer fight you can still play until the end of the match as Super-X. You fly it in first person, you don't deal too much damage but can harrass and maybe help out a teammate or seek revenge. Not sure if you should fly or just be a gunner as it runs it's own course.

There are some things I really hated, but I can't remember too much. Those were moves that really bugged gameplay and were cheesy. I think Destroyah and Mothra had a few moves like that. (G:STE)

First off Toho doesn't like reskins as Mr. Strange has stated numerous times. Not to mention that showa Godzillla is far different than its Heisei or Millenium counterparts. So why have reskins if their respective moves are far different.? Secondly Zentenk, I understand the first list are the favorite monsters and 99% chance they are getting in but its still nice to vote on who everyone likes. For example Hedorah and Destroyah appear to be favorites right now with almost every voter adding them with Megalon, Titanosaurus, Kiryu and Anguirus (Showa). Extremely different results from your list.

Sorry, I have only just begun reading these threads today. Why don't Toho like reskins? They reskinned Godzilla his whole LIFE!! So each instance of Godzilla will have to be paid for? Godzilla's moves should not be far different, it will also cutdown on production/testing times.

I say, they select the top 4 of the tallied "non-core" monsters and run with that. Maybe releasing one new monster a month will help keep gamers interested.

I believe Atari paid Pipeworks ~2.5 Million, spent another ~1 Million on fees & printing, and spent another ~5 Million on marketing. Might have been 10 Million in marketing.
