According to Mr.Strange they can't get Godzilla and the other Toho monster cast because someone else is working on trying to get the rights for a game they would possibly tie in with the 2014 movie.

How does anyone else feel about this possible news?

Actually, 50% or more of video-game-rights never even turn into a project. So it's much too early to say that we "know" it exists.

i kinda want to say that its safe to assume their will be a 2014 related game. it would be stupid if they didnt(plus alot of big budget movies get game right)

And it better be a good fighting game and you must and I must MUST be able to play as Godzilla, not no shooter >__>. Also I hope its a good brawler, not like that Pacific Rim game more like Godzilla Save The Earth style!

I'm way ahead of you, I no lifed that game back in July and August, but then eventually got bored of it.

I would actually love Pipeworks to do the next Godzilla game. I liked what they did with the past ones.

Honestly, if this is true... I don't know. They'd have to start all over, as opposed to being established like the Atari-Pipeworks games. We'd likely only see a roster as big as GDAMM, maybe slightly bigger, with many monsters we've played as time and again. The idea just doesn't excite me. Legendary's Godzilla alone wouldn't be enough to entice. Maybe I'm just spoiled by the progress we had before. Would love to see a more monster-accurate Godzilla fighter, though.

I wouldn't mind a small roster as long as the game was good. Maybe STE's roster with Legendary Goji and the Mutos.

id love it! Why, only...ONLY because It would give me hope to have the monsters in a new godzilla fighting game not look like shit for once. Say all you want about pipework's models, they are NOT up to par

In conjuction with the kaiju models, the sounds of the monsters should also be faithful to the franchise. One example I'm referring to is Orga; his roars sound like the Sky Bison from Avatar: The Last Airbender...and nothing like his movie counterpart in Godzilla 2000.

They need to make a fighting/destruction game with crap ton of playable characters, all of the designs for respective characters, and where the character models and roars are accurate.
